I know nothing about endgame weapons so I'm wondering which Maple Pyrope weapons could be used? I know the one-handed sword could take over Red Katana (I'm in zenith so there's no VIP weapons), and the spear could be used over sky skis if i'm recalling stats correctly, but what else?

Well, hellslayers (polearms) better stats than karstan, the katara and blade in case of a dexless dual blade(chaos), everything else is just for statless purpouse actually.

Any of them or none of them. As it stands, a decent "end game" item would be anything cubed with:

30% Boss Damage
15% Defense Ignore
6% Total Damage

- or if after Chaos -

30% Boss Damage
20% Boss Damage
20% Boss Damage

The actual damage you can deal during regular training matters very little because outside of LHC mobs, everything is designed to die in 2-3 hits. Even at LHC, the amount of damage you're able to dish out matters less than the party you have with you at the time of training. The only time you'll need raw damage for something is at "end game" bossing.

Both 20% and 30% boss damage are primary stats, so you'd have the same chance of getting 3 lines of 30%.

That said, the 1h sword is the only weapon that's really viable, since a higher attack speed category equals about 10% more DPS. Theoretically, assuming all other things equal, a perfectly scrolled (with + 5 att scrolls) Pyrope will outdamage a perfectly scrolled VIP at around 310 total attack. However, because now there's +7 att scrolls, and because Pyropes are more available for mass scrolling, the actual break-even point might be lower.

Every other Maple Wep gets outclassed completely by alternative equips. >_>

pointing out, as a spearman, if you are going to use a pyrope as endgame, the polearm is the better option

Unless they fix Crusher and then it'll be whichever one is scrolled better.

it still has one more base str xD and wether they fix it or not is irrelevant, since we will be getting a new skill to replace it anyways, but the pyrope polearm can be resold later on to a bigger public, meaning a higher price than an equally scrolled spear.

Just piggybacking my question on this thread here.

Around how much attack would i have to get on my pyrope spear/PA before it becomes a better choice than a 120 attack slow speed spear?

it depends on your total attack, not your weapon attack (include hex and blood in here)

grab your total attack with the slow spear (hex, blood, bless of the fairy/empress, etc) and divide it by 1.07 what you get should be the total attack with the pyrope, substract all the buffs, and voila.

Nice and easy formula! Thanks so much for that!

Now i just gotta get lucky with an enhancement scroll lool.
