Basic internet setup - Kaasoljoyyx - 2011-04-30
I recently installed someone's computer downstairs and I need to get them internet. My current internet modem is connected to my main computer, which is connected to a router to give wireless to my other computers/laptop. The one downstairs doesn't have wireless though.
I haven't set up multiple wired computers in a while, but is it just a simple
- Put ethernet cable into cpu
- Connect that to a converter
- Put that converter into a phone jack
- Done
I think I have broadband dsl right now. Only other thing I thought of was using a second modem, but I think when I tried that before a couple years back, the two internets didn't like eachother and caused it not to work.
