Dual Monitors help - Manu - 2011-03-28 Sup, I got a new laptop, and when I connect my regular monitor to it, I'm unable to change between only notebook screen/using both screens as extended/only my regular monitor without screwing up all settings. When I use it on one side or the other, some times it's too bright and some times it's too dark, if I put back regular settings and try using both monitors as extensions, my regular monitor looks great but my laptop screen looks harming bright, really, it hurts. Any idea on how to keep different settings for different dual monitor options (like it goes, only screen, only monitor, dual or copied) Dual Monitors help - Kalovale - 2011-03-28 Can't you physically fine tune the extra monitor accordingly to your laptop's settings? Something like: Current settings: Laptop: A - Monitor: B Step 1: Laptop: X - Monitor: Y (assuming changing one setting fucks up the other) Step 2: Fine tune Laptop's settings via video card's driver - Monitor: Some crap settings Z Step 3: Fix Monitor's settings manually Never really experienced this, but it sounds straightforward to fix? Dual Monitors help - XTOTHEL - 2011-03-28 The brightness shouldn't be different... But try pushing: Windows + P and select a mode

Lol I know how to do that, it's just really weird, when I only use my laptop screen, it's so bright it hurts, then when dual, my monitor looks great but laptop looks weird and if I set only monitor, it's bright too.. Ok I don't know what the hell, now the screen doesn't look "bright", it looks down right ugly, the colors are horrid, the contrast is high, I can't read anything that's not typed in black comfortably and it's... ugly.... I really don't know how to make my screen look like it should. Edit: I wish it was as simple as taking a screenshot :| Edit2: this has me frustrated, I'm going to bed now... for more reference, I don't see the grayed out arrow on chrome for next page, and on SP main forum I barely see the "no new posts" squares.... Dual Monitors help - XTOTHEL - 2011-03-28 taking a pic with a digi cam works well... Dual Monitors help - Manu - 2011-03-29 ... looks like it fixed itself with a restart o,o... thanks for the help anyway, I think what might have caused it was messing with graphic options on league of legends.... even if it doesn't make sense |
