Who has experience with what? And how much? Vote in the poll.

Programming experience - Shidoshi - 2011-03-26

Nice poll.

I have beginner experience on C++ (nothing graphical).
I can work with functions, strings, conditions, loops, arrays, etc.

Programming experience - Fiel - 2011-03-26

C and Python are my strongest points. I've never done anything graphical in any language though.

I do have working knowledge of PHP, Java, and C++.

I'm a beginner with C++ and C#, and that's pretty much it. I also know basic HTML and CSS, if that counts at all.

Programming experience - Hazzy - 2011-03-26

I've dabbled with self teaching in C/C++, C#, Java, Python, PHP, and javascript. When it comes to writing functional programs though, I would say I'm limited to Python 2.x (3 changed stuff) and Java, although I haven't touched either in so long it would take some quick Googles to review.

I've done some graphical stuff with Microsoft's Visual Studio, and I love how everything there works. It's a real shame it only runs on Windows.

Moderate knowledge of Java, ActionScript3.
A tiny bit of C++, Python.

Also moderate HTML4, PHP.

Programming experience - Manu - 2011-03-26

All I know is a super tiny bit of Python.

Poll is up, and please do tell me if I need to add something there.

I learned a bit of Java while playing with private servers.

Programming experience - Link - 2011-03-26

I took Java in high school for a year, but that's about it. I've had some experience messing with private server code as well, but I didn't really learn from it.

Programming experience - Jon - 2011-03-26

Moderate Java and C++ knowledge. Nothing too graphical.

"years of experience" is an ill-defined metric. How often must you use a language in a year for it to count as a "year" of experience? Not to mention that having worked with a language for longer does not indicate more skill with a language. Anyway...

I have a good amount of experience with C#, having used it with my senior group project, a couple personal projects (one with over 3000 downloads), and now I'm using it at my job. Except this past week, when I've had to do some maintenence work with some VBA code. Ugh, VBA...

I know C++ well enough, even though I don't have much real experience with it outside of programming assignments for school that didn't require very deep knowledge of the language and one publically-released personal project. I know enough to know about smart pointers and RAII.

I learned Java in AP CS and used it in my internship and a "programming challenges" class, but that's it.

I have learned PHP, Perl, and Python in the past, but I don't use them because I don't like dynamic languages.

I recently learned Javascript and jQuery.

I learned some Scheme for my Theory of Computation course.

I wanted to learn D because it seems like a C++ that doesn't suck, but there aren't many learning resources, no real IDE support, two different versions of the language, and two completely different "standard" libraries, one of which only works with version 2 of the language.

I have basic C, C++ and Java programming experience. However, I have extensive knowledge in Flash and various 3D animation programs to include 3D Studion Max, Lightwave, Maya and several more. Thing is, I just dont like progamming code so I tend to stick closer to the visual side of the house.

Programming experience - Jedward - 2011-03-27

Tiny bit of C++.

On the online side, I know HTML, plus some CSS and PHP.

Programming experience - Takebacker - 2011-03-27

Basic C++ and java experience, working with SQL right now.

Programming experience - Moonlapse - 2011-03-27

No working programming knowledge. lolbiologymajors.
