Worthwhile pet equips? - WillDaSnail - 2011-03-24 So... Due to the perma pet & pet equip sale going on, I was thinking about getting a perma pet and equips. I have never used a pet (and therefore, no pet equips), so I'm somewhat new to this Worthwhile pet equips? - Joe.2 - 2011-03-24 WillDaSnail Wrote:So... In my opinion, magnet and pouch, and auto hp (or auto mp for mages) Worthwhile pet equips? - octopusprime - 2011-03-24 depends on your class and what you are concerned with looting. EXAMPLE: Warriors really just need basic stuff. I prefer not to use auto hp at all but like auto mp on several classes. If you party a lot with people who don't loot at all and want just regular drops from your parties kills, then scales can be worthwhile. I'm getting pouch magnet mp pot it'll be shared on my adventurers which basically just means warriors i'm considering hp pot but on my wk i just don't use them. Worthwhile pet equips? - Kaasoljoyyx - 2011-03-24 Basic necesseities is really just item/meso loot. I never used auto HP until the beginning of this year, but I found it extremely helpful. The times it glitches out i know why it does that and i'm used to those times so I stay alert anyways. The other things aren't 100% needed really, just more add-on for greater convenience. If you have a lot of characters that you want to get pet equips for, then the ones i mentioned above would be my recommendation. Worthwhile pet equips? - CarrionCrow - 2011-03-24 What others already said. Item and meso pick-up is practical and a must have (unless you do not loot stufdf at all and don't give a dang either way). If you care about bossing and DPS, auto HP (or MP for mage) is essential for a smooth ride. Oh, and if they do release Pet equip scrolls with stats, or if you need some extra speed or jump, then the 7 slot accesoary for your pet might be interesting (not the 5 slot common gear that all pets can use). Worthwhile pet equips? - SaptaZapta - 2011-03-24 My prioritized list: 1) Item Pouch. When the ground is covered with drops and obscured by skill effects from both players and mobs, it can be easy to miss valuable drops. I've discovered Pieces of Time, scrolls, and equips in my inventory, that my pet looted without my ever seeing them drop. 2) Meso Magnet. 3) Auto-HP / Auto-MP. Move this up to first place if you're a low-HP class that has to pot every other hit. Move it down if you're a tankadin... unless you boss. Auto-HP is extremely useful at bosses that 1/1, and pretty much essential if you want to be able to chat or afk for a bit. 4) Wing Boots. I have found that without this item, pet loot gets downright frustrating, as you have to figuratively lead your pet by its leash to every item you want it to pick up. And even then, it will never pick up items at the ends of platforms. Get the Wing Boots and it will walk to the pile of loot by itself. A short distance, but much much better than nothing. 5) Magic Scales. Only needed if you party train a lot. The way things look right now, everyone 110+ is at LHC (and therefore, in a party)... 6) Item Ignore. A luxury for those who can afford it. Takes away the one drawback of item pouch, namely it filling up your inventory with junk. It's not that hard to keep discarding event drops, arrows, nub potions, and other crap, but it's nicer if you can avoid picking it up to begin with. 7) Binoculars. I've found these utterly useless. Even they won't make your pet climb up on ledges to pick up drops (like in Ludi or Singapore maps, which are littered with these little boxes and benches that items keep wanting to drop up onto). If you are melee, you're close enough to your kills for Wing Boots to be enough. If you're ranged, you're too far away from them for even Binoculars to make the pet go get the loot. In addition, if you're a class with limited mobility, such as warrior or bowman, getting a 7-slot outfit for the pet and scrolling it for speed and/or jump might be worth your while. Worthwhile pet equips? - LegendGospel - 2011-03-24 Thanks SaptaZapta, I found that pretty useful! I got 30,601 NX to spend with my perm Kino, I'm playing a Bucc. Already got perm equip using extra Maple Points I had. I'm wondering if Auto HP is really worth for me, what do you think? Meso Magnet + Item Pouch = 14,400 NX Wing Boots = 5,400 NX 19,800 so far. Magic Scales = 5,400 NX Auto HP = 5,400 NX 30,600 NX total Worthwhile pet equips? - WillDaSnail - 2011-03-24 First off, thanks for the help everyone! ![]() SaptaZapta Wrote:My prioritized list: I just read what you wrote here. I will definately get a Meso Pouch + Item Magnet + possibly a pet equip, but I'm somewhat reserved about getting auto MP and HP. I have manually potted myself throughout the time I played MS, and I don't see the need for an item to heal me, lol. Worthwhile pet equips? - PirateIzzy - 2011-03-24 I'm only going to have enough NX credit from surveys for item pouch. Stupid car insurance survey BS. Worthwhile pet equips? - LegendGospel - 2011-03-24 At least you can complete surveys. 90% of them don't work for my country. Worthwhile pet equips? - PirateIzzy - 2011-03-24 I can't complete the majority of them so I don't get credited on them, so no NX for me. And people who say they get 20k NX in one day are full of shet. Worthwhile pet equips? - Mike - 2011-03-24 But what if your pet wants a nice ribbon? Worthwhile pet equips? - LegendGospel - 2011-03-26 Just saying I love auto HP. I can totally chill at Pianus and don't worry about bosses with Damage Reflect. ![]() I do see me wasting a liiiittle more pots than usual with it, but who cares because I usually overflow with power elixirs

Set the autoHP % base lower if it bothers you. Worthwhile pet equips? - Berzerk - 2011-03-26 I ended up buying Auto HP, Item/Meso Pouches, Scales, and Boots. I also bought myself a Penguin with a perm equip for it. The reason I didn't get MP is because doing MP isn't really crucial to survival, also I use mostly % based pots that heal both MP and HP so in the end, I barely ever notice running out of MP. The other thing was I'd rather get a pet and renew just the pet with some water every 3 months then get something ugly that would last forever. I also end up taking breaks randomly through the year (1-2 months of barely playing), so this could also contribute to not really spending that much. PirateIzzy Wrote:I can't complete the majority of them so I don't get credited on them, so no NX for me. And people who say they get 20k NX in one day are full of shet. I made about 12k in a day. Worthwhile pet equips? - SaptaZapta - 2011-03-26 Seems this sale is a great success for Nexon. Just glanced in MTS and saw that the cheapest pet speed 60 scroll is 1k nx. On the first day of the sale, I was able to pick up 7 of them for 928 nx, and there were many packs of 5 for 617. Worthwhile pet equips? - Stereo - 2011-03-26 Lucky I don't need the speed bonus right now, I guess... I heard there were pet equip scrolls for stats? ![]() I went minimal, 30k's the most I want to charge anyway. Most of the surveys I do don't credit me, even if I fulfill all the requirements (mainly the car insurance ones and the "Which _____ are you" surveys). Worthwhile pet equips? - LegendGospel - 2011-03-27 Got a question on autopot... Newb question. When is it actually possible to die? What causes it? I've noticed that sometimes I go below the HP where autopot is supposed to kick in, and I just pot manually. For example, usually autopot kicks in when I reach 3k HP, but sometimes I can go down to 2k or less, and autopot won't hit in. And I guess that if I get hit for 2k or more, I'm fried. So I just pot myself in these times. I've noticed it happen a few times while on Skelegons and Temple of Time, still getting used to it. |
