What an unimpressive launch lineup. I'll wait for some bundle pack probably because it'll probably have a cool Mario/Zelda/Pokemon engraving on it. Or maybe a combination of all three.

That's the only good game but if you just pre-ordered recently get ready to wait for months to get one. Like the wii, this will probably be back-ordered for months.

I did preorder recently... 2 days ago infact lol.
I kind of expect for it to be like the Wii (of which i managed to get one a year and a half after release and the one i got was a preowned one that was the last in the store) but then i hear that in Japan they had more than enough stock than whats actually selling so..

Was it? That's odd, because my parents went out on the morning of November 19th, 2006 (the day the Wii was released) and bought one + Twilight Princess. They gave it to me that day too, but as an early Christmas present. XD

Really? I mean, I did that too, but I pre-ordered it beforehand.
Anyway, I went to Gamestop and made sure everything was pre-ordered today. Getting it in Cosmo Black, with Street Fighter and Nintendogs (SHUT UP IT'S CUTE) as my launch games. Turns out there's no midnight launch at the one I go to, but it is one of the stores that are opening at 9 AM, so I guess I'll be getting it then. :3

They must have pre-ordered it or you must live in buttfuck nowhere because for the rest of the world it was unavailable for like a year due to the high demand and low stock.

It may have just been that they bought it from a military shopping center called the "Navy Exchange." I'm pretty sure they didn't preorder it, because they were telling me how they went all over town to find one.
And yeah, Virginia Beach isn't in the middle of nowhere. XD It's a very populous tourist city.

Solid =/= system seller. I wouldn't pay full retail price for any of those games; I certainly wouldn't buy a console for any of them.
If it was a case of already owning the console, and some of them were cheaper than the £30 they're going for now, maybe.
But I already own SF4, Rayman 2 countless times, and super monkey ball is really hit or miss depending on the the game. The rest I wouldn't even consider unless they were dirt cheap.

I'm pretty sure it was consistently sold out in Japan. Retailers actually had to tell people who haven't pre-ordered before the launch day that they won't be able to get one, and those who haven't pre-ordered back orders post launch wouldn't be able to get one either.
