On this nitewalker, I maxed vanish, and then set all my macros to leave me in darksight after they did what they did (for instance I have a macro that does haste and claw booster, and then I slapped darksight on the end).
Vanish gives at max level 130% damage to 1 attack, so.... if you do what I did, and go out of your way to constantly be in darksight (again with macros, and just purposefully pressing the darksight button), well, what happens is that you get 130% damage on the first hit you do to a mob, and sometimes that can be the difference between 1 hitting them and 2 hitting them.
Anyway, let's say I'm a lvl 150 Sin, would I then have a reason to max vanish?
What if I had got lucky with mastery books?
I have many questions, but I tell you, on a nitewalker, there's no reason to pick shadow web over vanish, because vanish effects bosses, and shadow web never will. (Again, I'm nit picking, but just imagine slapping darksight next to your haste on a macro.... Every now & then, you get 130% damage.... Isn't that better than shadow web?)

Assassins don't get Vanish. Only Nightwalkers do.
