Simpsons have nothing to do with King of the Hill. King of the Hill was made by the creator of Beavis and Butthead.

And king of the hill grows on you. You have to understand it mocks the personalities of common types of people you'll meet in your life. It really is just the same comedy as the simpsons without the ludicrous exaggerations.
And wow guys, Homer works at a nuclear power plant. For christ sake in the very intro maggy is holding a rod that homer got stuck in his pants. He eats all over the keyboard and stuff, and constantly causes meltdowns.
