yes, i know it's lolbasil, but still, i need to ask what you know about this "pando media booster"
it indeed was installed on my computer along with maple (deleted it long ago without knowing what it was though) but now that i see this, it kind of makes sense, but then again...

put on maplestory forums because... well, it comes with maplestory and this is a maplestory forum.

and if that's true, well, "discuss"

I've always wondered what this was. I've seen it in my list of programs but, I was always scared to delete it. Thought it might pineapple something up.

I've gotten this a few times and there's gotta be a way to prevent it from stealth installing itself on your computer.
I had to uninstall it again cause I forgot LoL also ninjas it in as well.

That's really low on nexons part. <.< I remember having to set it to the don't-check list of my anti virus because I couldn't download otherwise. And then it still fucked up so I just ended up having to do it the old fashioned way and that worked but meanwhile I did install it. Sad Thanks ShinkuDragon, just deleted it. Smile

2nd time I assumed it was common knowledge, and 2nd time Southperrians prove that they didn't know anything about Pando.

what is one to expect, it installs itself without giving any kind of warning or explanation, unless you knew beforehand, or payed close attention/cared enough/played too many pando games, you wouldn't really notice it.

so i guess it's a quick refresher i guess to the people that missed the original thread.

It's not all that harmful to your computer, the only problem is it installs itself without your permission and uses some bandwidth.

From Basil, Pando media booster? - VirgilDiablo - 2011-03-06

it seems like users whose bandwidth is capped by their ISP could file a class-action against Pando... a judgment might not be issued but something so profitably underhanded would certainly settle out of court to keep it from spreading so fast

What? I'm pretty sure it tells you about Pando when you install Maple. You agree to it when you agree to the ToS.
