Hey guys, ill try to keep this short and to the point of my questions.
I didn't play the remakes of silver and gold and I didnt play the 4th gen games (last i played was with emerald due to not owning a DS before)
Looking forward to Black and White release, but while revieing a lot of stuff, serebii was not very clear on a couple aspects. Any information would be appreciated!
1) This involves the give away event. Right now, there giving away the shiny suicune, entei, and raikou. I know transfering one of these to 5th gen will unlock the Zororock event. However, serebii said something of having to use poketransfer? (its the one to move event pokemon) If my friend trades me the shiny dog from his 5th gen game into mine, will it start the zororock event? Same for the celebi event.
2) If the above is no, can Zororock be bred? It has a gender....and has an evolutionary chain....
3) A lot of the pokemon i looked up were unobtrainable, and said the only way to get them was to either transfer from another gen game or dream world. I read about it on serebii (the dream world) but im still confused. Can someone be clearer to what exactly is dream world? And is it like a pokemon giveaway (like nintendo can change the give outs every month or something?)
4) If my friend lives in texas, i live in jersey. So...can we battle each other? It said on serebii that you can battle trainers online RANDOMLY, but what if i just want to fight my friend?
5) Im getting white, friend getting black. If we link up (if its possible) can we go to each other's exclusive area? (such as me entering black city and he entering white forest)
6) Is there a move tutor that makes a pokemon remember old moves?...I want to transfer some of my pokemon (if possible) but i think 5th gen has some moves that are new and thus i couldnt get.
7) Can emerald trade directly to 5th gen? Or do i have hop scotch from emerald to soul silver then to 5th gen?

1. These events ended as of Sunday, so you can't get them yourself. If your friend trades you his, then it will work HOWEVER, each pokemon can only be used once. If he uses his Suicune and Celebi to unlock Zoroa and Zoroark and then trades them to you then they will be useless. Event pokemon can only be used once in this new generation.
2. No idea.
3. Dream world is an online feature. I believe it's browser based but I can't say for sure.
4. Online battles should work the same as the past, I assume random battles with online players is just an added feature.
5. No idea but I doubt it.
6. No idea.
7. I assume poke transfer will cut that extra step out, however you won't be able to return them to your old game.

2) Yes, Zoroark is a regular Pokemon and can be bred.

6) If you're looking for 4th gen move tutor moves, they can't be acquired in 5th gen. Yet.
7) No Pal Park in 5th gen. To trade a Pokemon over from 3rd gen, you need to trade to a 4th gen game first.

Allright, so I should tell my friend to only send one of his legendaries into his game first, catch zororock, then transfer the rest of his dogs into the game. Then he trades me a dog that he didnt use in activating the event and use it to activate mine? What happens if he transfers all 3 of his dogs at once to his game before initiating the event?

1) There's two ways of transferring. One of them is exclusively for event things (I believe it's called the Transfer Machine). Any beast will activate the Zoroark event, and any Celebi will activate the Zorua event, but only once per Pokémon (so you can't use the same Celebi for 2 Zorua). Of course only the ones from the recent events will work.
2) According to the Serebii.net Pokédex Zoroark is in the "Ground" egg group. This means it can breed with other Pokémon from that group and Ditto.
3) Dream World is unlocked after the first gym. First you have to register your game online at a certain website, then you can send a Pokémon from your game to the Dream World, which is then available trough said website. Once you recover your Pokémon again (like with the GTS) you get certain things that you obtained in the Dream World in game.
4) It's still possible to fight people using friend codes. The random match feature is mainly for ladder matches and such, as well as just being able to fight people whenever you want without having to arrange anything.
5) That's not possible. It is possible to transfer some data though that influences the wild Pokémon / trainers that appear in those areas though.
6) There's a house with both the Move Deleter and the Move Relearner in the town with the 6th gym(the Airport City). Recovering a move takes 1 Heart Scale.
7) 3rd gen games (Ruby,Sapphire,Emerald,FireRed and LeafGreen) are not directly compatible with Black and White. You'll have to transfer trough a 4th gen game.

3. Just to elaborate, Dream World is browser based "game" that's similar to the secret base aspect of RSE. You can collect furniture and arrange them in your room as well as visit your friends' bases. You can also play mini games, and I THINK that when you win random events can happen, including meeting a pokemon. The pokemon if male, has special moves that can't normally or easily be acquire (ie. TM or Egg moves). If female, the pokemon will have a dream world ability. Also, the dream world is the only way to grow berries in 5th gen.
Dream world is part of the global link, which also incorporates GTS, the battle union and miscellaneous DLC. Some people are also think that unity tower is going to have something to do with with the global link as well.

So dream world is done on the computer? Not the DS itself? (I mean after the hook up to the global site)
Also getting different mixed answers about 5....Jinn are you saying that I can do 'quests' in the area (for example, black's city), but I won't be able to buy items or battle the trainers there? I looked up entralink, but it sorta confused me...
Man pokemon got a bit more complicated in the years I haven't played...

No you can move around the whole of unova, and I'm pretty sure you can still buy things/see wild pokemon. Anyways, less than a week to go before you can do all the experimentation you like with Entralink. A little longer than that for Global link though, considering it isn't going to be active right away.
