Shadow Partner Confusion... Fourth job buff? - Link - 2011-02-02
I've been seeing videos of Shadowers in GMS doing about 70% damage with Shadow Partner, rather than the 50% that the description gives. I then looked up 3rd job videos of GMS and they're doing 50%.
So... I looked at the Big Bang Skill Tables that Fiel has posted in the Modules section, but I don't see any skill in fourth job that boosts it.
Why do I see people in GMS doing more than 50% Shadow Partner damage in fourth job?

They stack twice with SP.
Ex.
Reg hit:100k
Reg SP hit:50k
Reg hit +30% boss:130k
SP hit +30% boss: 130k/2 *1.3=84.5k
84.5/130k=0.65 which is what you see. This is the similar to why why SP hits for assassinate hits higher than regular hits.

It can't be 30% boss damage. Every video I've seen, people are hitting like 30k and then 20k with Band of Thieves on normal monsters.

Even in my own KMST video, I was doing higher than 50% damage with Shadow Partner without any % total damage on my weapon :

Boomerang step boosts BoT/assaulter/steal with 25%, so SP that becomes 1.25*1.25 = 1.5625, or (/2) 78.125% instead of the usual 50%.

That should go for NLs with Avenger, Drain, Lucky 7 and (lol)Shadow Meso(lol) then since they also get boosted with a 4th job skill now. I must be slow for never really thinking about it then xD. But is this the only answer? Or is it still true that Boss damage 30% and such double stack?
EDIT: I checked it out with my new claw with 30% boss, indeed both of the scenarios above seems to work. =)

Guess so. In that movie of ShiKagem, at 0:07 he hits 12101, 10894, 10203, 6473, 5828, 5458. Meaning SP = 0.53491, 0.53497, 0.53494. Times 2* this is 1.0698, 1.0699, 1.06988. Always very close to 1.07 (though less since it rounds down 1 dmg), which is the passive damage increase of boomerang step at lvl 3 which he very likely has (since he's lvl 121).

Hmm to go even further, this means the 25% passive increase is not 25%, but 0.66*125%+0.33*125%^2 = 35.4% increase xD
This means:
Steal = 3*1.25 + 1.5*1.25^2 = 609.3% (instead of 562.5%)
SB = 6*0.9*1.25 + 6*0.45*1.25^2 = 1096.9% (instead of 1012.5%)
BoT = 3.95*1.25 + 1.975*1.25^2 = 802.3% (instead of 740.6%)
Assaulter = 3*2.9*1.25 + 3*1.45*1.25^2 = 1767.2% (instead of 1631.3%)

Interesting. I didn't know Band of Thieves got a buff from Boomerang Step. O_o Only Steal, Savage Blow and Assaulter are listed in the skill description.
