At only 2.75 inches in diameter, the Direct Attack Guided RocketDAGR, pronounced daggeris designed to be the bread-and-butter air-to-surface weapon in the US arsenal. It's compatible with every flying thing, very low cost, laser-guided, extremely precise and extraordinarily deadly.

The secret is its elegant simplicity and delayed fuzing of its 10-pound warhead, which according to Lockheed Martin "increases the DAGR rocket's lethality and reduces collateral damage." Instead of detonating at the time of impact, the missile penetrates the armor or the building, detonating inside. That means that it kills everything that is inside without necessarily damaging stuff around the target.

Lockheed Martin has now finished testing this on multiple helicopters, like the AH-64D Apache, AH-6 Little Bird or the OH-58 Kiowa Warrior, but it can be mounted in anything currently supporting Hellfire II missiles. Not only that but, while not as destructive as the Hellfire, you can pack more rockets in the same space.

This thing has amazing potential. If we can get a lazer guidance system accurate enough to keep pace with an enemy warhead, we could hypothetically use this thing as a missile defense system. Enemy launching super warheads to attack the states from a battleship? Shoot the warheads while they're en route and then you can neutralize the ship. A small weight and small size allows for mass storage and cheapness, creating the ultimate weapon if anything.

This. This missile is amazing in the way that it can pack so much lethality and precision into such a small package. Now, instead of dropping a 500lb laser guided bomb, just send a few of these to do the job while reducing collateral damage.

Also, like Taiketo said, this isnt a new way to kill someone. You're still blowing them up with an explosive. It's just a safer way to take out an objective.
