Hard Drive Seems Too Small - Sleepy - 2011-01-21 So im trying to clean my hard drive to get more room, is a 33g Hard Drive and theres 7.8g Left, i ran CCleaner. I dont understand why theres only 7.8g Left, Alli have is TF2, which is around 12g i think, I've searched through my entire computer looking for unnecessary files, or things left over from installers, Etc, i deleted Microsoft Word for gods sakes, I really don't think that a 33g Hard Drive takes around 13g just for drivers and things. Opinions? Yeah, im not too amazing at this sort of thing so just sayin ![]() Could it be steam? Because it always seems to say "Install" Not download for games i remove. In all likelihood: system files, drivers and things, page file, hibernation file, etc. It adds up. Thank you for this, Yeah windows is a LOT of the space, but thanks to this, i found the culprit i was looking for It was steam, even though i removed TF2 Beta, it was hiding TF2 Beta files in the regular TF2 folder, almost 4g of em, i deleted em and reached my goal at 12g, and tested TF2 to make sure those files didn't matter. Hint, They don't

There is however a better Drive Cleaner for Windows XP by Steven Gould called CleanUp!... check it out at http://www.stevengould.org (Note: do not use this tool with any OS other than Windows XP or earlier) |
