I honestly see no future for vindictus. - Random_Overlord - 2011-01-19 Playing for about a month after it came out, I honestly saw no real spark to the gameplay. Sure it might be in it's "Early stages", but it'll always be a copycat of Monster Hunter to me. Get on a boat, kill some small enemies, get to a big enemy, spam spears on it then stab it when it's down. Even if nexon were to incorperate a life system like mabinogi, it won't be a success in the late future due to the limitations of the game's combat system and overall gameplay. There are no field areas to grind in, so your forced to pay a couple of tokens which are limited per day in order to train. Then when your in the dungeon you have a 1 in 4 chance to get a key item to make a better weapon which does just about as much damage as the one you already had. The only good thing I can think of which vindictus has that might have alot more potential is boob physics which is awesome. ![]() At least monster hunter actualy had solid npc's rather than portaits inside noisy ear-rape buildings you can't move around in. ![]() It's kind of a waste of the source engine when you think about how it could have been way better. Like it could have been half-life 2 with swords and spears, but it's a copycat of monster hunter instead/ I honestly see no future for vindictus. - Corn - 2011-01-19 Random_Overlord Wrote:Playing for about a month after it came out, I honestly saw no real spark to the gameplay.Only reason I quit was because no one ever plays anymore. I also hated how hard it was for me to get used to changing the viewpoints. You do know, past boat 5, you can't get away with spearing to stun, and then hitting it while it's down >.> Also, Spear Lanns won't be able to just spin to win past boat 5 either. They'd die before they'd be able to even get close to killing the main bosses. Though I do get your point that the system is limited to instanced dungeons. I'm assuming that you're lv 44 btw, if not, then I suggest you get there and give your opinion then. If it's any consolation, Nexon korea is reworking the way future boats work to have shorter fodder rooms, and more raids. AzureKite Wrote:It tried it, but I didn't enjoy it. My computers... none of the computers my family owned... none of them could run Vindictus well enough to play properly. I was thinking of picking it back up after (if) I get a new computer. Though, half of it is because of a bad connection. Sadly hes looking extremely broken atm. hopefully that will just be early boat stuff. Vindictus is more of a 1200$+ Laptop game, and generally it was made for Desktop PC's. And I can run it on the fullest settings with 16x AA and 8x AF. Runs like a beaut. A good 600$ Desktop can run this on its fullest settings easy.
