My friend was wondering if resistance classes had to do the zakum prequests and if so, who do they talk to. I tried searching for the answer but couldn't find a thread that helped. Thanks in advance.

Yes. They talk to the third job instructors of the corresponding adventurer class, I believe. I may be wrong, however. I haven't done such a thing on any classes aside from Adventurers, but I think I remember other classes having to talk to the third job instructors in the house in El Nath.

Yeah, just talk to one of the third job instructors. I'm not sure if it matters since they all offer the option.
