I'm level 122, and when I'm training on gigantic viking spirits, I'm constantly being automatically disconnected "for the hack reason". It's becoming a huge hindrance, and I was wondering what's triggering this and how I can prevent this from happening. I'm almost certain it's because I'm killing at a too quick a rate, but I'm not sure.

What job ye be playing?

Disconnect for hack reason - rethic - 2011-01-16

A wild hunter.

The client doesn't like constant running and shooting. It thinks you are using illegal scripts to achieve such a feat, while in fact you are just playing the WH as it's meant to be played. I had the same in 2nd Job at Kerning Square, where I just held down the Ricochet- and move buttons. I imagine the hurricane-skill has the same effect.

It's rather annoying, but I don't think you can get banned from it.

Since the last SC I've been getting it more and more both on my WH and on my BaM....Getting rather frustrating... Also been getting the "Maplestory has stopped working" BS a lot more frequently, was only every 5 or so hours, but now it's like... every 1.5 to 2 hours.

It happened to my BM sister a couple days ago during Grandpa, she got the popup notice, but it didn't DC her for whatever reason, so we were able to finish successfully. Kinda scary if you ask me.

It's happened on my hero when I was at Zakum...not too sure why.

90% of the time it is because you have somebody AFK in the map which you are killing in.

People have experienced it without having this and I can't explain that.

Disconnect for hack reason - Worthyness - 2011-01-16

happens all the time. Nothing new. Could be that you are in fact a Wild Hunter and they seem to have lots of fun hax out lately...

If you keep doing the same thing over and over again they think you're botting.

It will say Blocked for the hack reason if you get banned
Disconnect will only disconnect you.

I really only get it when I lag (as in everything walking in place, hahaurinternetsux lag). I don't recall getting it any other time.

Disconnect for hack reason - Adramelech - 2011-01-16

I only get this when my gf alt tabs in the map we're in and afks for more then 2 minutes.

Nexon finally trying to make leeching go away?

Me like.

Trying? Leeching's been dead since Big Bang, where have you been for these past months lol

I sorta messed around with this with a friend in tot. Friend had to afk and alt-tabbed out, then EVERYTIME I killed a mob, it disconnected me with the hack message.

I think it has to do something with the lag from a person when you try to afk and alt-tab out... or something of the sort.

Leeching is still possible without ultimate spam, no? May not be as fast, but it's still leeching.

Yeah, it's called party training.

Hmm, this might actually be the problem. back when I was in the 11x, I've always trained with a HS mule without disconnection. Now that I'm training on mobs that my HS mule can't leech off of, I bring my BM along also to get the 10% party bonus exp. I started to d/c since I brought my BM along. Last night, I finally stopped disconnectiing, but I noticed that my BM had disconnected instead. So perhaps we can only have one afk person in the map?

If everyones helping, cool. If even one person is sitting around on their ass, they deserve the crashes.

I've trained many hours, since BB, with an HS mule on another comp and didn't get dc'ed for "hacking".

However, I have noticed that, since BB, a maple client that is on a switched-out Windows user (or, I suppose, minimized), acts differently. The character appears "lagging" to others, including being frozen in mid-air. MapleTips are not shown or accumulated, and "you have played maple for X hours" messages all pour out in a bunch when you switch-user back to that one. From that you can also understand that no matter how long this lasts, the client doesn't "lag out". It isn't really paused, it does talk to the server. If it has a shop up, it continues doing business normally, for example. But it definitely knows that it's switched-out and does some things differently or not at all.

The possibly relevant part to this thread: if that client controls any mobs, they "run in place" as far as anyone else can see. Rather fascinating to watch, actually, as the switched-out client, server, and active client, negotiate about what those mobs are doing. I've never been disconnected for "hacking" while fighting such mobs, but I imagine that under some conditions, what your active client is saying to the server is so out-of-sync with what the afk/frozen client is saying, that the server decides one or the other of you must be trying to hack.
