Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - IllegallySane - 2011-01-16 I decided to give the Wild Hunter class a try, since the idea of being an archer on a jaguar is pure awesomeness and badass. My god it's so damn fun being able to move at mount speed ALL THE TIME. However, I am being cautious of their HP pool since I know they are still ranged. My character is 40, but I didn't consider giving him INT gear yet since most of the INT boosting comes from level 50 gear that I have on my Bucc. Now I'm aware they gain more HP than other ranged classes thanks to their jaguar, ~32-33 HP/level instead of ~23-25 that most ranged gains after getting on mount so they get +30% more HP than archers can. However, should I still HP wash him, or can I get away with the earrings/CZak helm/CHTP? Since my Bucc is 168 I can use him to make NX in-game for eventually getting lots of AP resets. That and I have a stash of several hundred clams lying hidden in my room saved up for personal....... emergencies so to say and I coooould consider mass AP resets an emergency. Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - Solarboy - 2011-01-16 You can survive perfectly without hp washing. Only the empress would be a problem. Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - Justin - 2011-01-16 You'll be fine without washing, though it never hurts to do it. If you have the funds, CHTP and chaos zak helm are incredible assets to have, and because of the jaguar mount, they already have much more HP than they need. EDIT: Also, the rex earrings? Don't use 'em. With Vulcan you BURN through the durability. They're not worth it after level 120. They're not worth it after level 120. Huh? I thought durability of armor isn't affected by your own attacks, only from getting hit by enemeis. So..... grab earrings with potential +HP% instead? Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - cris92x - 2011-01-16 Just stick with a chtp and a chaos zak helm and youll have enough hp for everything currently out in gms, also avoid investing in rex earrings >.> just buy a cheap pair and use em for bosses only because if not they end up breaking ALOT unless u can afford it then go ahead. At above: no durability goes down per attack... that means it drains fast due to wild arrow blast. Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - Takebacker - 2011-01-16 Apparently the durability decreases per attack, which makes them suck for anyone with hurricane-esque skills. I wouldn't really worry about HP washing THAT much but it couldn't be a bad thing for your character. It just isn't as necessary as back in the day. But do I need Power Elixirs in order to live through anything (excluding Cygnus Empress, which is simply a total troll to the whole game)? Ideally, I want to be able to get away with Honsters, and even Ginger Ales for healing. I don't feel like searching the FM or far Pap everytime I need more Power Elxiirs when NLC is far more convenient. Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - Takebacker - 2011-01-16 Well you can stock up on power elixers from RGTS and neo city bosses if you want them, but for bossing i don't think you could get away with ginger ales. I guess it would depend on the boss but i'm not really that informed about survival issues on ranged classes, lol. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah an instant 1,000+ elixirs from NLC is far more conventient for me than farming bosses for that same 1000+. :< Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - Punch - 2011-01-16 Mechanics are in 3 days o_O Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - IllegallySane - 2011-01-16 Punch Wrote:Mechanics are in 3 days o_O True, but so far playstyle for Wild Hunter is balls on awesome. Soooo much mobility, and the instant I hit 2nd job I fell deeply in love with Ricochet (a la Stunning Iron Arrow), Jaguar Oshi (instant kill for a buff or spit back monster a la Kirby? Yes please), and Raining Mines (good way to get a little extra EXP/hour). I already got a Mech name reserved, so I'll also give em a shot later on. Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - Worthyness - 2011-01-16 At level 120, they already have as much as or a bit less HP than my bowmaster which has 50 AP into HP. That's like 4.5k AND they get a buff that gives them +80% more. i don't think they need to HP wash/ Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - IllegallySane - 2011-01-16 Worthyness Wrote:At level 120, they already have as much as or a bit less HP than my bowmaster which has 50 AP into HP. I like consistency, which goes back to the HP washing idea. Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - MariettaRC - 2011-01-16 For reference, my Bowmaster (reset 5 AP from STR into HP, never HP washed) has 5.7k HP with gear at 157 while my WH has 5.5k with the same gear and not HP washed at all at 120. Mmmmmmmmmmm, if average 33 HP a level, the Wild Hunter would have at level 157: 6,721 HP. Mrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmm add CZak helm and CHTP, and that HP jumps to 8k. HmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMM I like this. Verdict then: Level up Wild Hunter from 50 onwards with INT gear, should be extremely easy to find thanks to potential. Simply hoard up that extra MP so at ~100+ I can decide if to start HP washing or not so since 10k HP isn't that hard a goal then. Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - Locked - 2011-01-16 Did you factor the +40% HP from the jaguar? Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - IllegallySane - 2011-01-16 Locked Wrote:Did you factor the +40% HP from the jaguar? Of course I did, hence why I calculated ~33 HP per level instead of the usual ~23-25 that ranged classes usually get. Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - MariettaRC - 2011-01-16 Yeah, forgot to add that that was with the jaguar but I'm pretty sure you got that. On a side note, I'm probably going to grab +HP% potential equpment to do the majority of HP augmenting that way, since it'll most likely be more convenient and more efficient that tossing away ~$210-$300 just for more HP. I can handle a little less damage since they are crazy strong anyways. Should I worry about HP washing for Wild Hunters? - Even - 2011-01-17 The only downside about the jaguar is if you die and get res, you need to mount the jaguar to gain 40%+ extra hp and then pot just like if you got hb from a dk. This can lead to a death with lagg ofc but Im not sure how fast you get the hp when you press mount button. |
