PATCH NOTES FOR VERSION 098
Dear Maplers,

The upcoming patch of Version 0.98:
1. [System Event] Gold Richies Treasure Map (Event Period: 12/01/2011 09/02/2011)

3. [System Event] CNY Event: Happy New Year! (Event Period: 19/01/2011 16/02/2011)
4. [System Event] CNY Event: Dong Dong Chiang (Event Period: 19/01/2011 16/02/2011)
5. [System Event] CNY Event: GaGa Fireworks Event!(Event Period: 19/01/2011 16/02/2011)

1. [System Event] Gold Richies Treasure Map
(Event Period: 12/01/2011 09/02/2011, 2359hrs)

Gold Richie who is 2nd richest person (other than Cai Shen) in MapleSEA is back! Get bonus EXP up to 13500 EXP PER ENTRY with the Gold Richies Treasure Map Event!

How to participate:
Obtain quest from NPC Cassandra.

Collect the 20 each of following items from monsters:

Double Click the Blank Compass once you have gather all the required items to transform it into Gold Compass!

Double Click the Gold Compass between 8pm-10pm to go into the event map!

You will have 1 minute to stay inside the event map to hunt Golden Pigs Egg! (Surprise awaits you when you open up the eggs!)

The best part is, upon entering the map, you will receive BONUS EXP!!!. Bonus EXP varies between your character level.

NOTE:
There is a 7 minutes interval if you are going to enter event map for the second time or more.
Minimum level requirement for this event is level 13.
Quest is repeatable every 30 minutes to receive the Blank Compass from NPC Cassandra.

2. [System Event] Maple Ring Event
(Event Period: 12/01/2011 09/02/2011, 2359hrs)
Obtain quest from NPC Maple Administrator.
Collect 10 Rainbow Maple Leaves.

Exchange Maple Ring or Maple Ring Scroll with NPC Maple Administrator.

NOTE:
Minimum level requirement for this event is level 13.
Quest is repeatable from NPC Maple Administrator.

3. [System Event] CNY Event: Happy New Year!
(Event Period: 19/01/2011, 0000hrs 16/02/2011, 2359hrs)

Obtain quest from NPC Maple Administrator.
Collect alphabets drop by monsters to make a full Happy New Year"and talk to NPC Maple Administrator.

NPC Maple Administrator will reward you with a Devil Scroll.
Bring the Devil Scroll to NPC Chun Ji in Kerning or NPC Geanie in Ludibrium.

Fulfill their requests and they will decipher the devil scroll into a Magic Box filled with random treasures!
Bring the maigc box to NPC Mr Pickall in Kerning City to reveal the hidden treasure that is inside the magic box!

Curious to know what will be inside the mysterious Magic Box? Mr Pickall did reveal a few of the treasures as stated below.

NOTE:

4. [System Event] CNY Event: Dong Dong Chiang
(Event Period: 19/01/2011, 0000hrs 16/02/2011, 2359hrs)

Player can celebrate the Lunar Year of Rabbit with the majestic lion dance in MapleSEA! All they have to do is speak to Yuan Bao Fo conveniently located in most towns to travel to a special event map where the playful Dong Dong Chiang hides!

If you happen to miss Dong Dong Chiang to the early birds, do linger around and keep a sharp eye for it as it re-spawns after some time. Defeat the monster and celebrate the Chinese New Year special with special drops like local specialties and Maple weapons!

5. [System Event] CNY Event: GaGa Fireworks Event!
(Event Period: 19/01/2011, 0000hrs 16/02/2011, 2359hrs)

Start off the new year with a BANG and blast off to the Moon!

Gaga is now a Part-time Bunny on the Moon?!?!
Gaga has prepare a fireworks celebration event for Chinese New Year!
Hunt down Powder Keg which is used to make firecrackers and pass them to Gaga...the part-time bunny on the Moon.....
But waitseems like the fireworks celebration is attracting some alien visitors too!
Defeat them to obtain Fairy Pendant Coupon.

Exchange it with Grandpa Moon Bunny for Fairy Pendant.

6. [Horned Tail System] Chaos and Normal Horned Tail Expedition Changes (Permanent)
After reviewing various feedback from our dedicated Maplers, there will be some minor changes to Chaos and Normal Horned Tail Expedition for the benefits of Maplers with effect from v0.98 patch.

Change of Reward Requirements for Normal and Chaos Horned Tail
Rewards for both Normal and Chaos Horned Tail will ONLY be given with the following condition fulfilled:
1) Horned Tail has to be defeated by more than 11 or more surviving players. (Requirement remains)
2) Upon summoned, the battle against Horned Tail has to last for more than 1 hour. (Requirement removed)

Minor Map Change to The Cave of Trial 1
Minor map change as stated in the image below. Additional rock barrier to the top of the map added.
Applies to both Normal and Chaos Horned Tail Expedition.

Change of Normal Horned Tail expedition maximum time limit from 12 hours to 2 hours.

I understand about why they patch the safe spot in Cave 1 for both Normal HT and CHT, but why they need 11 ppl and 1hour for Normal HT to get its drop ??? Tongue

Hopefully those hourglasses in CS works on them. i might extend the luk ring to over a year if i can scroll them for better stats.

Read again. It says the minimum time "limit" of 1 hour was REMOVED.

MSEA has always had that dumb limit to prevent hackers from killing HT super fast for drops.

My bad. GMS dont have that 11ppl-and-1hour-to-drop in the first place, and hackers has using hack to kill HT like 30~40 times per day 2 months ago. MSEA is better than GMS at this point Goggleemoticon
