What made you choose your job class? - Celsious - 2008-09-21

I made this thread on Sleepywood as well and I'd like to see more results on here.

As the title says, what made you choose your job class?

I chose to be an archer because I thought it was a very unique class. I liked the thought of being one of the lesser chosen classes of MS.

On my second character, I chose a page because I was motivated by ChubbaLubbah. <3

Discuss. =]

I played every class this game has to offer. I just happened to stick with my hermit

Chose warrior because I love swords and close range combat, page because of eventual elements.

I first chose cleric because I liked helping people. And then I noticed a lot of HEALPLZ@@@@ers and I tried bandit. They're too weak starting off...and I'm getting sick of weak characters. Maybe I'll start training it again later. I tried F/P next, but it felt just like my cleric. Now I'm seeing if I can use an archer okay.

I like underdog characters, hence my love of Pages. Speaking of which, I just made another future BW Page.

I chose page first because I wanted to be a WK, because I thought elements were awesome. I failed because I was a noob at stats.

I made a cleric to fund a new low-DEX (at the time, about 70, lol) page. I ended up falling in love with the cleric. :f6: AoE and attack speed love, I guess...

Then I took a break from the priest because I had no one to take me to Himes, and made a hunter and my page, now dexless because there's no point in doing it any other way.

Not sure why I chose my hunter, other than I thought being an archer was difficult but fun... More skillful. I picked hunter purely because of Arrow Bomb, even though I like snipers' 3rd job skills better... Took me about an hour sitting in Athena's house to decide, too. Rolleyes

I made an assassin because i love characters with great avoid and speed and my gaming history go all throught those type of characters.

I tried all the other classes, even bandits. But any could give me the same pleasure as my Hermit/Night Lord.

I hopped onto the bandwagon =).

I started a Dragon Knight back then because I saw the word "Dragon" in the class name, and I immediately rushed to make that class, as well as studied everything ABOUT that class. I eventually chose to be pure Pole Arm for the uniqueness, that and all of my DK friends on BL were pure PA's, which fueled my motivation to go even further.

I then decided to make a Hermit because ... my best friend on Maple at the time played a Hermit, and it looked fun. I decided to make this one a female for a change of pace, and I wanted to try something new. So I did, eventually, I ended up liking my Hermit over my Dragon Knight, and unexpectedly, I got it to Night Lord because I loved playing my Hermit. Now my Night Lord is my main character, and my best friend who played his hermit, quit MS. =/

I tried lots of classes and personally, (despite people saying they're boring) I like my hermit the most. Tons of avoid, speed, and good for parties and bosses, they are really fun. Especially FJ. Olawd it's godleh. The only downsides are the HP, lack of mobbing, and popularity. And the fact that the stereotypical sin is a KSer and a jerk.

The very first character I ever made was a bowman. I named him xRobinHoodx

I know, Im a loser. The minute I started playing I asked my bro (who was 4x on his first char at the time, now the 2nd strongest Hero in Broa....man how time flies) if there was any martial arts class. Maybe they used kicks and punches? He said no, and there will probably never be any

Thats why Im looking forward to Infighters so much

idk, magic was always interesting to me compared to just going up and hitting the monster w/ a sword.

Good thread jess.
on topic-
i made bowman because my 2 friends were a thief and a mage, then my bro made a warrior. so i made a bowman. and i liked to hunt. so it worked perfectly.

I've played every single character there is to offer so far.

My warrior will be my last and final character.

He's an axe fighter and will stick with axe until I quit.

I made a warrior because I've always loved them and there just so much fun to train and hunt and what not.

I chose fighter because there just the only one that seems interesting to me.

I chose AXE fighter because I love to be unique.

Biggrin

Before I started playing MS, I asked my friends who did play MS for which class had the prettiest skills. They suggested magician and showed me some skills from each subclass. And I chose bishop without knowing anything about the game. Seriously, that's how I chose it lol. I'm lucky because I've really enjoy playing the class, in every job level too. ^^

First archer in Bera because I loves teh bow and arrows.
No, really. I've started with an archer in every (MMO)RPG I've ever played, except Rappelz.

Cleric because I thought Magic Claw was the sexiest skill ever at the time, was prepared to play 16+ of the first 24 hours of Khaini, and heard they leveled fast and had a good 3rd job.

Archer again because I'd become rooted in Khaini.

Sindit because I found a 54 kfan, and wanted to see what SB felt like. Realized those were pretty stupid reasons and quit before level 20.

Page because I wanted a character to screw around with. It is pretty screwy, too. 40 LUK, 6 DEX, 11 SB, 12 Iron Body, level 35, and I've used my 3 PG all over the place.

Cleric again because my old one's build sucked, and I needed an excuse to test unmaxed Heal damage.

I just realized this thread was in Broa subforum, lol. I was checking "new posts" Rolleyes

I prefer warriors for long period grinding (mostly due to higher HP to be honest), and I already had a WK and DK on Bera, so I advanced as a Fighter on Broa.

Then again, this is my 3rd Fighter... the WK+DK have a Fighter mule (CPQ level, not likely to train unless I want another pendant) and I trained another fighter way back, which has hideously high dex. >_>

I felt axe fighters were too bandwagoned so I went hybrid on this one... however for price reasons I haven't used a Sword since level 25-30.
