I've never thought about this before, but when your hands are tied up and you need to hit the button to call the elevator, isn't it smarter to kick the button instead of elbowing it? Those clever Japanese!

Actually, if there was a kickable elevator button, I'd probably kick the thing every single time. It has to be more fun (and sanitary). Here's a video of it in action:

Didn't see the video, but in an actual elevator how would one kick the right button? And how would all the buttons fit on, say, a 100+ story building?

Then...why bother having a kicking button if you have to press a button with your finger anyways?

Well, they'll make a solution for that some day.

Because then you set your stuff down inside the elevator and press the button of the floor you want. You don't have to set it down, call the elevator, pick it up, go in, put it down, press the floor and THEN pick it up one final time.

Either way...............

It's cool looking.

2 pedals. First pedal is ones place. 2nd pedal is 10s place.

For example, 32 would be 3 kicks (1st pedal) 2 kicks (2nd pedal).

Reminds me of how the Japanese cultivate SQUARE watermelons because they can actually fit easily in your fridge that way.

Only thing is they're expensive. Not sure why though.
