Nowadays most of what I hear people playing is just a generic beat that sounds computer generated combined with auto-tuned vocals. Not that I have too much of a problem with auto-tune (I do listen to Vocaloid songs), it's just they sound like they lack so much for me. It doesn't help that when I hear a lot of them, I hardly hear any real instruments in them because they use one or two, and those are drowned out by the computer generated sounds. But hey, I don't really mind if people like that, you're entitled to like what you want. I won't lie and say I don't have my fair share of songs that follow a generic sound in my library, though those aren't exactly popular. And for some reason this thread made me feel compelled to post this video: Best four chords ever. That's why I pretty much always find myself listening to 70s/80s music. There was so much more originality back then. Not to say that there isn't any now. But I'd rather listen to Metallica than Ke$ha... Granted, don't get me wrong, I don't hate any artist nowadays. Being in a band myself, just a local gig, I can understand how hard it is to get known, and you definitely do have to have talent even with all the new technology because when it comes down to it, technology can only cover up so much. That's why I hate when people say that someone famous doesn't have any talent, because even if you do use those programs, you still have to be talented to get to that point. Sorry if that made no sense, it's like 2 AM. Best four chords ever. (Guaranteed OLD) - Kitteh - 2011-01-05 Relevant.
