My lukless Bishop dmg is crap - Satellite - 2011-01-02
I'm not really playing it anymore and I know I don't really have any good equips left anymore. But why is it that my Aran is doing 3x better dmg at level 12X than my Bishop at 147?
It CANT BE just the equips... Did they nerf up lukless build or something? Or does Bishop dmg just suck now, even though they "boosted" the dmg of other skills. I do 25-30k with Arrow rain, and most of those are critical too. 7-10ks with shining ray and heal, bit less with this tele skill.
If this is the dmg of the Bishops, then no wonder it's hard to find priest to duo with, on my Aran. I'm all in for the balance, but at least boost the other skills then
Either way, I guess I'll focus on Aran, can't really find any use for my Bishop anymore.

I think luk plays a part in magic damage now. Not 100% sure.

I'm gonna guess that you're using level 64 maple weapons?
Because now that magic attack works as attack does, using higher level staves/wands pays off so much more.
So yea, lukless with 64 weapons surely got nerfed.

INT plays 4 times a role than LUK does.

Luk still does nothing, it's entirely based on the magic attack, rather than int = matk.

I've noticed the same thing with my 128 corsairs damage and my 157 f/p
I have a 6.5k range on my sair and a 9k range on my, both with lackluster equips ( a decently scrolled concerto and ele staff 2)
My sair hits 25ks with crits per cannon and thats a 55% crit rate while my f/p averages around 60k per paralyze. Even if I included DoT which btw is not effected by infinity (which can be dispelled while pirates diceroll can't), my sair still comes out ahead.
Even when i finally get to 163 and wear my new estaff, at most it'll add 2.5k to my f/p's range.
Am I doing something wrong with my mage or do f/p's just not stack up against a poorly equiped sair :\

Ah I see. I guess I need VIP or Elemental staff(since all effects were removed) to deal some real DMG. Tho I think luk magicians kinda beat us now, with potential gear D:

That's actually not completely true. If you're able to afford things such as a Scar/Targa, Flamekeeper Cordon, Violet SS, Android Top/Bottom or Stirgeman Power Pants (MKI or II), Last/VIP Magician Shield, and some Elemental Wand and cube them decently, you would match up to, or probably even beat, a low-Luk char

Arans are on the high end of single target DPM and Bishops are on the low end lol. There was no way a Bishop could outdamage an Aran with similar equips even 20 levels apart.
It's okay. I had a dream too, I was going to level my FP mage and be the best mage out there. And then Nexon said "lol u didnt really think mages were gunna be pro rite? lols" and yeah. I'm stuck with my NL F4.
Edit: Maybe I didn't make it clear. Bishops aren't attackers. Arans and Corsairs are.
