Not sure where this would go, so I put it here.
My mom wants to get a book with information on all of the countries. Stuff like flag, population, capital, currency, etc. Basic facts.
I've look at a few atlases but she says there's "too much" info and it's and overload. She just wants the bare-bones. Plus, they're pretty expensive (with National Geographic's being $160)
Any ideas on a book that would have this?

CIA.gov has a good factbook that's not overloaded with information - just the barebones. Why does she need a book? Is she afraid of the internet?

She's not afraid of the internet. She just sucks at using it. Terribly.
But she decided she doesn't need a book now. I guess I'll try teaching her to use the CIA website.

Lonely Planet has a lot of country / tourism information about (all?) countries in the world.
But free stuff = Wikipedia indeed.
