HERO: Questions on gear - dominusrebel - 2010-12-30
I just have 3 questions about what gear to use. I just came back to ms after taking a 1 year break so yeah. I have some meso about a bil'something. So when people answer they will know how much money I have to work with. Please help if you can
1. Are %stat gear better than ATT gear (For example like 6 atk pink cape or some high lvl cape with %stats)
2. I have 4 dex. And I don't plan to add to base to raise dex. Should I go with Night Raven or Stonetooth? Like is the extra dex from the gear worth it to go for Stonetooth or just go for Night Raven. (I don't plan to go 1h and shield even if people say its better. I know this reason is dumb but IMO it looks kinda ***sy. XD)
3. When potential'ing gear to get higher %stats, is it the higher lvl the gear is or the higher lvl the person who is magnifying the gear?
Anyways help if you can but keep in mind I don't have billions of meso to work with lol. I had more questions but I forgot what they were for now.

1) Depends on how much %stat and Attack. 15% STR will beat out 5 Att. I don't know the formulas and whatnot well enough to give you a closer comparison.
2) Depends on your current dex. It's easier to get the required dex so equipping a Stonetooth won't be a huge challenge compared to before.
3) Higher level gear.

I heard that go straight str and getting reverse performs better because of the extra str gained here and there that would be in place for dex if the person were to go ribgol. Cause yeah I hear people going like go dex and ribgol its better and people saying straight str is better. I wonder which is true?

stonetooth isnt very popular anymore. Pretty much anyone who isnt using 1h is using reverse or vip. I think with more limited funds you would be better of going with a non stonetooth 2h sword
EDIT: oh i forgot to say the biggest reason you shouldnt go ST is because you have 4 base dex and 1b mesos. That really doesnt seem like enough to get a nice enough sword to make it worth it once you get all the dex gear your going to need.

there are better weapons than stonetooth now.
a few 6% str items should replace anything that has 0 att on it (top/bot, hat, maybe shoe..) and shouldnt cost more than 200-400m each, providing nice damage boosts where you previously had practically nothing.
you might think twice about switching to 1h if you ever see a vip shield w/ 20% or 28% str.
