Or is it just completely worthless at level 1? I'm not getting any purple orbs, whereas before Big Bang, level 1 Advanced Combo would yield 1 more orb.

Wow, that's terrible. D: The only point in having any points below level 6 is for the double orb charge rate, which is pretty not worth it, in my opinion.

Hmm, still increases the dmg per orb right?
And coma is actually a pretty worthwhile training skill now. Especially with alot of mobs having high enough HP to actually benefit from the large numbers.

It should bump 5%/orb to 6%/orb on the first 5 SP, I don't have a hero (and couldn't get AC on tespia) so I don't know if it really does.

1 point may be marginally better than an extra 6% on intrepid slash. certainly more versatile. 22% double charge proc blows too though. you cant even expect a double charge each time you fill combo till lvl 3.

When I was playing around with my Hero after I got the SP reset, it seemed like the first point did give 6% per orb. At least I was doing more damage than I could have if it was 5%.

Although the skill string says 5 orbs for 5% each, it was discovered to be 5 orbs for 6% each. The main reason it doesn't bump the amount of orbs until level 6 is because of Combat Orders. If it gave you more orbs at level 1, by level 30 you would still have 10 orbs. At level 31, however, you'd have 11 orbs which would have broken Combo Attack since there is only 10 orbs to begin with. Instead, by delaying an orb early for a few levels, Combat Orders would boost Advanced Combo to 10 orbs for 11% each at level 32. Advanced Combo is still the better skill to master going into the 4th job since the damage boost from Combo Attack to Advanced Combo Attack is far greater than compared to Brandish and Brave (Intrepid) Slash.
