This box is the "Mechanic Box."
Just to clarify, for theo ones who are thinking it gives the Mech gun, it doesn't.
It gives a random level 50 mechanic equip, can give two of those. (Engine, bla bla bla).

The mechanic gun comes out from that first box you used on your Resistance Characters. And you only can obtain it if you haven't used such box previously on a BM or a WH.
I got that ring on KMS, and Ferdi was supposed to give it to you. That box is irrelevant.

Wait, what? You can only use a Resistance Box if you haven't used one on any other character on your account (only Resistance, obviously)? How would you explain my Resistance Staff and my Resistance XBow on my JMS Battle Mage and Wild Hunter?

i think he means if you only had one box then you can only use it on one of the three ...... not if you have 3 boxes you can only use one on one account ... i do know how ever you can only have one of each weapon (IE) the xbow for the WH and if you try to open another box it doesnt allow . however, im not sure if you dropped the xbow and tried opening another box and it would give you the xbox again.

I said you can't use one single box on more than one character. IF you had more than one, THEN you could use on them.
The only way to get the gun was keeping that box until mechanics, or at least it was like that in KMS.

I'm not sure if this is real or not, but there's nothing that I can see that leads to believe it's not... other than the fact that the character has the ring.

Someone said you had to do all Edelstein quests to get the Ring, but I don't see why they would do that.

None are required except the ones before the job advance.
Hell, I didn't even do my chair quest, yet.
And it's kinda hard to do them all when you haven't done a single one since level 12. I'm level 79 now.

I've done all the quests (except some of the Verne Mine quests, though the majority of them are Level 70+) and I still haven't been prompted to pick up my ring. The only quest I can think of that might be stopping me from getting the ring (assuming quests have something to do with it in the first place) is the Level 66 Francis Puppet quest.
As far as I know though, someone over at GameFAQs reported being able to pick up the ring after leveling to 70 after 4:00 PM PST yesterday.

That's... quite depressing. I'm not making another character and leveling it to 70, just for a ring. I hope Nexon can fix this some how.

That is a lie. I got to lv 70 at 4:30 PM PST or something and I didn't get the ring.

My bad, it was actually 5:00 PM PST.
Still, think what you will of this. I personally reached 70 (Wild Hunter) at around 3:50 PM PST and didn't get the ring either.

Hm, maybe it does have something to do with the Edelstein quests. I currently only need to complete two more that are below Level 70 (Francis puppet and the one after that). Guess I'll haul arse to Ludi tomorrow to collect the toy blocks.

I did every level 70 and under quest, no ring. Currently about to do every Edelstein quest.
