-Hime- Wrote:Due to the rise in concerns from the community, we have informed our GMs to monitor White Christmas Hill closely. We ask our players with pets to put your pet(s) away prior to entering the White Christmas Hill map. The GM team will kick any player entering this map with any pet(s) out. If you persist trying to enter the map with a pet you may be temporarily suspended from the game.

Thank you and Happy Mapling.

White scroll inflation in 3... 2... oh wait, now everyone can get them.

GM's, doing their job? =O
It's a christmas miracle!

Well, doing their job would be banning the vaccers, some have been in the maps for 36 hours straight.

Important Notice: White Christmas Hill - Kunagisa - 2010-12-23

I bet people will still vac. The people on those maps are usually just on mule accounts that they don't mind getting banned anyway, and I'm sure they won't have GMs monitoring every map on every channel on every server enough to catch most of them.

Important Notice: White Christmas Hill - Overlord - 2010-12-23

Even though its -Hime-, its good to know they're AWARE of it.

Important Notice: White Christmas Hill - Felicitates - 2010-12-23

I'm glad that they're atleast trying to do something about it Smile

Important Notice: White Christmas Hill - Plasmablaster - 2010-12-23

-1 hour later-

GM team: Ok, we are done, banned so many mules, time for another 3 month coffee break.
Hackers: *resumes hacking*

I wonder how much ground that "GM Team" can cover, so many worlds and so many channels, must have about many GMs if they want to help this, or I can just see auto-bans in place. On the other hand, what the char is the MWLB doing at times like this, lol.

Dam, Broa's White Scrolls haven't gotten cheap enough yet. T_T

Important Notice: White Christmas Hill - Joe.2 - 2010-12-23

I love how they don't even mention the vac hackers.

Because they know they theres a no chance they can patch it.

Um... hackers won't affect the prices of white scrolls. It's not like the tree would explode with nobody around to loot the gold flakes. There are only so many to go around in the first place.

You could argue there would be more becuase the distribution of gold flakes is concentrated in one place that will capitalize on it by getting all white scrolls. As opposed to the general player who may not have the dedication to get 30 of them or may prefer a 1-day mount or whatever else they;re giving out with the flakes. Not a strong argument, but there will be fewer white scrolls if everyone actually has a fair chance at looting, probably not enough to make a major differece. Then the flip side is with fewer people in possession of the scrolls the hackers could control the market better and keep it from getting out of control but let's face it, even posting at all I'm over-analyzing the situation and this is just taking it too far.

Good to hear Nexon's doing something, shame it likely won't be enough. I expect the same amount of hackers once work hours are over.

Don't want to spread FUD.

Whatever way you look at it, I'd much, much rather it'd be something like
Trade in 10 decorations for 1 blue
Trade in 100 decorations for 90% 10 blue, 10% 1 gold
Trade in 1000 decorations for 80% 100 blue, 20% 10 gold

Or something like that. 15000 decorations per WS is not unreasonable - I've looted a few thousand already.

Pretty much like the Cake vs. Pie event.

They're not monitoring anything.

The same vaccer has been standing in Ch 5 Christmas hill in Broa ALL day.

Important Notice: White Christmas Hill - Kunagisa - 2010-12-23

Of course not. It's an event for the hackers to cash in. There's no use in even trying unless you're running a vac hack, it's just a waste of time.

Important Notice: White Christmas Hill - SaptaZapta - 2010-12-24

Yay! They decided to do something!
Too bad that something is "have -Hime- write that GMs will monitor tree hill".
Maybe they might even have one GM materialize in Scania for as long as it takes screenshots to hit basil. Might even kick out a couple innocent pet owners.
Somehow I don't believe they will actually do anything. Not against vac hackers, and certainly not against glitchers (which they seem completely unaware of).
