windows 7 professional 32-bit compatibility issue - nvmvoidrays - 2010-12-23 pretty much what the topic says. my computer isn't stellar (2GHz, 64 MB of video RAM, 2 GB of RAM, etc), but it still shouldn't have any trouble running maplestory. when i start the game, i get the whole 'this program is known to have issues' window. it's annoying. first, i thought nothing of it and just ran the game. lo and behold, in-game, i get horrible, skipping fps. there's no reason it should be this way. i recently upgraded to w7 32-bit from XP. on XP, it ran fine, no issues at all. now, with windows 7 32-bit, i get random drops every 5 seconds or so. it's basically unplayable. well, it's playable, but not enjoyable. does anyone have a suggestion or two? windows 7 professional 32-bit compatibility issue - Jamie_Kurosawa - 2010-12-23 You really should update your system to be more compliant with Windows 7's recommendations. Windows 7 requires a lot more out of the core system also than XP for the services it runs. If anything you're system specs are actually a bare minimum for Windows 7. I would recommend at least the following for proper Windows 7 (32-bit) gaming... Intel or AMD 2.0 GHz Dual-Core CPU 3 GB System RAM GeForce 8 or Radeon X series with 256 MB or more Video RAM windows 7 professional 32-bit compatibility issue - nvmvoidrays - 2010-12-23 yeah, i need a serious upgrade, but i can't get one, atm. it's an old, old laptop. i have to work with what i got. :/ windows 7 professional 32-bit compatibility issue - Jamie_Kurosawa - 2010-12-24 I would recommend reverting back to Windows XP if that's the case. |
