Coma bugged? - Phoenix Wright - 2010-12-15
Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:
The description for level 1 Coma states that it inflicts 248% damage PER combo orb.
If that's the case, why does it do 1 combo orb worth of damage when I have 5 charged?

It's not going to do over 1k% damage, if that's what you're hoping for.
I haven't noticed anything wrong with the damage with Panic and Coma. Less orbs does less damage and more does more.

Coma/Panic have always had special damage formulas. The description is misleading though.
Fiel posted the Combo formula a while back, but I think Stereo explains it well:

Basically, it's 5% per orb with Maxed Combo, +1% per orb per level of Panic/Coma, and all that multiplied by the number stated in the Coma skill.
So you'd be hitting your Range*(5%+1%)*5orbs*248% for maxed combo and lvl 1 Coma.

Should be written range*(100% + (5%+1%)*5 orbs)*248%, so for 5 orbs you get 322.4% of your damage range.
The description was written by someone who doesn't understand it, I suppose.
