SP Reset for White Knight - Cereal - 2010-12-11

After looking over every Post-Big Bang Skill Distribution guide I could find for White Knights I am still confused about a few things. I will be 3rd Job very soon and since I have an extra SP Reset Scroll I was wondering if Power Strike, Slash Blast, Improved Fundamentals, and Ground Strike are important to have maxed for 3rd Job, or are they fine with just a few points in? My current skill distribution at level 69 is something very close to this...
Maxed Max HP, Maxed PS, Maxed Iron Body, and 11 SB (I think, don't have MS open right now).
Maxed Threaten, Maxed Mastery, Maxed FA, Maxed PG, Maxed Booster, 18 GS, and 0 Improved Fundamentals.
From my very select knowledge of Warriors (I have played Mages and Archers for the past 4 years) I was thinking Power Strike and Improved Fundamentals will be the only attack skills from 1st and 2nd Job worth maxing from using the SP Reset Scroll. As a note (if it helps at all), I use GS in almost all situations, even to hit most of the single monsters I find. Any and all help is appreciated.

Honestly, I'm unsure on this as well, considering Charged Blow works like a combination of Slash Blast and Power Strike with more "oomph" to it.

Eh. I personally went:

 1st job
 2nd job

I chose to reset Slash Blast to 11 and max Iron Body because, well, Slash Blast (damage-wise) is replaced by Ground Smash. However, in my opinion, Ground Smash is not necessarily worth maxing, either; it will be replaced by Charged Blow in 3rd job (more powerful, but not as long range). I guess you could say I did this build because of Balrog PQ, haha.

Oh, and alternately, you COULD leave Booster at Lvl 11 just to max Ground Smash, but like I said, that attack is quickly replaced in the future. =|

I like your build and will probably do it. I guess when I saw the exact same build in ShiKage's guide and after I used GS in game I wondered why not forget Enhanced Basics (or whatever it's called) and pump more into Ground Smash, but then I started thinking PS could still be used and it would be better with Enhanced Basics. I guess I was just confused. Thanks for clearing it up. Oh and I didn't want to max Ground Smash, I just did it because I found it to be better than Enhanced Basics, and I also knew I had an extra Reset Scroll to change if I had to.

If you're willing to use Combat Orders to boost 1st-3rd job skills, you can leave them 2 below their max, and have more than enough SP to max everything.

If I don't plan on Balrog PQing, should I not worry about Fundamentals and max Ground Smash?

At lvl 96 i still find ground smash to be useful - when i dont finish off a mob, i might as well use ground smash for the extended range and poke the monster behind it - frankly put the difference between maxed CB and GS is only 60% damage, so i use them interchangeably depending on the positioning of the monsters (monst monsters dont last more than 3 hits, i see little reason to focus on the stun).

I have yet to even find a purpose for power strike and slash blast (outside of perhaps balrog PQ) since maxed CB is only 20% less damage on a single target than IF powerstrike, and i've yet to see a mob of 6 within weapon range in front of me.

Could get it all. Have enhanced basics at 8, ground smash at 18, threaten at 18, power guard at 18. Just max the things that are important like Final attack, and Mastery. When you get Combat Orders in 3rd job, it will max it all.

Yeah I do the exact same thing as you. Since I don't ever plan on Balrog PQing on this account I feel that by getting SB, PS, and/or Fundamentals it will be a waste since I won't use them, but I'm too OCD to stray from the path of everyone else. That is why I made this thread, to receive confirmation that I won't be screwing myself over by skipping PS, SB, and Fundamentals as much as I can.

I was also thinking that, but again not sure since I haven't seen many people doing it. I will probably end up doing this build since I will have CO up all of the time anyways. I just want to make sure it is not a bad idea. At this moment I am level 94 and had to use the SP reset before it expired. Right before I reset I had 6 to all charges, maxed CB, 5 Restoration, and maxed CO. I'm so indecisive.
