Since bb is coming, I was wonderking abouth what kind of build should I try... and decided to aim for max angel ray, so, I'm saving 2 angel ray 30 (I have ar 11atm and can't use it)... will I keep the maximum level of ar20 after the bb or do I need to buy ar20 again? how about bahamut?

If you passed the book already, you won't have to pass it again, even if you do the reset, not sure about bahamut though.

Depends on what you plan to be doing, Soloing and Bossing/Partying builds vary a lot, what's your current level anyway?

Supposedly, you keep your skill level and max level. So if you did all the Bahamut quests to unlock it to 30, you should still have "max level: 30" after BB, even if you put no SP in it. For AR since you have 11 points in it, it's quite clear your max level is 20. You can't have used the 30 book yet, and you can't have 11 without passing the 20 book. So after BB you will still have max level 20 and 11 points in AR.
To be a little safer and prepare for possible tickets, I took screenshots of all my skill window. I really hope I don't need to actually use those screenshots, though, because Nexon's response to tickets is slow at the best of times. If they mess up skills and have a hundred thousand tickets to deal with... no chance.

In all seriousness though, I heard with Big Bang you won't need as much books from before, i'm pretty sure Bahamut is one of those skills that got their book removed but I could be wrong. You won't have to buy books again if you already passed them though; unless Nexon screws up..

Bahamut never had a book, it was a skill quest all the way to level 30 of the skill. I've read it turns into a regular mastery book skill after BB - level 10 is free but for 20 and 30 you must use books.

Since I came back from a long retirement, guess I'll be a soloer (which is weird for a cleric)... but, what else do I have? gen is completely nerfed and I don't have gen30 (tips are welcome)

You will find heal to be much much stronger after the patch as a cleric.

HS. YOU STILL HAVE HS. And not being an ohmahgodmapkillingspamattack class makes you to some people more appealing to party with.

It should warn you when you're about to overspend points from higher job tiers. Alternatively, spend all your high tier points first.
As for Bishops, Angel Ray sounds intuitive to go for first along with maxed Buff Mastery. One point into Big Bang can help its usage over Shining Ray in many situations, especially for burst damage, but the charging and inability to spam Teleport is a bigger turnoff from adding more. Depends on your style I guess?

Yea just make sure you fill in any preqs from your earlier jobs and your golden.
