Google/interwebz having problems for me - Imagine - 2010-12-01 Kay, so I got a virus a couple days ago (Thinkpoint virus, it's gone now), but whenever I use google and click any link one of the search results, one of two things happen: -I end up in a random website for insurance/cars/videos/courses -I end up in a website that's blank except for a few sections of code and firefox crashes In both these results, the page takes a minute or two to load, which is unusual. Did these problems come up from the virus, and how can I solve this problem? Used that to remove the virus. I ran 2 more scans, nothing shows up. EDIT: Did a full scan, found 2 viruses, deleted them, and the problem still persists. Grab Kaspersky antivirus, run it, and post back here the results. Some browsers are corrupted due to the attack of a virus. It's often the least problematic to simply uninstall/reinstall your browsers after clearing the virus. EDIT: Kaspersky keeps deleting my explorer.exe. |
