*edited* now with more questions a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - Solarboy - 2010-12-01 *sigh* 1.-No, there are normal books as well. 2.- Not really, unless you want to go for PB. 3.- Depends on a lot, again no, it's not necesary to hp wash. 4.- Magicians. 5.- Wich ones do you refer to? a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - Kire - 2010-12-01 Solarboy Wrote:*sigh* 5. All of them... the only ones I knew were the nx +1 to all rings, and the gacha rings... idk, any piece of equipment i can get my hands on (as an unfunded nx less char) helps... check my thread in the amherst forum... I came back to ms after a long time... two years is my best guess, even tough I had a 133 bishop (my only char) in bellocan, I'm kind of n00by considering the amount of new info...also, hola, veo que eres de mexico a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - Solarboy - 2010-12-01 Kire Wrote:5. Lilin rings: You obtained those when you leveled an aran to 30,50 and 70. They gave +1 all stats, +2 all stats and +3 all stats respectively.(the event is over) The adventurer rings (critical, cruel and magical): These give +% critical and some att and magic att as well. You got those when leveling an adventurer to 50 during the adventurer revamp. (The event is over too) Zombie rings: These give +100 hp and mp and +1 to all stats, you can wear 4 at the same time. You obtained these during the halloween event. (You can't obtain these anymore, but they are tradeable. They sell for 4-5m right now) There are also those weird wisdom and strenght rings, but I have no idea how to get those. a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - ArbalistMaster - 2010-12-01 circle of ancient <something> rings were from the miwok artifact event, which was sort of like a fancy gach box. not obtainable anymore, but they're tradeable. unwelcome guest rings came from the alien pq, and you can still get the VIP ring from the 120 pq, albeit at a low chance. a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - CarrionCrow - 2010-12-01 1. Yes. You get more extra SP buying the books in CS. If you lack enough funds to buy heavy potential items NX would be your only way to gain that. 2. HP wash post BB is alot less needed than pre. You might, and I say might, still need it for PB and CHaos HT, but little less that is currently released. 3. No idea abot the exact HP, and no they do not require washing as far as I know post BB. 4. No class will be 1 hit killed on any normal trainingspot, and hardly on any boss either than the previously mentioned 2. 5. Rings come from events now and then, hardly anything to worry about. You grab em when they show up, simple as that. There are a amazing ring event starting with BB patch, you will have to be logged in 1 hour per day for 17 or so days if I recall correctly. 6. Decent DPS, amounts of HP and DEF to make them practically immortal. Their threaten skill is wanted for bossing, and so is their combat order skill, which boost 4th job skills 2 points beyond the points invested in them (for the party). 7. You have no idea what you are talking about here. Check up one of the many many threads here about how the classes work. HP is less of an issue because monsters are generaly weaker, you have more DEF and HP and you can never train or boss effectively when you are below a monsters level. a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - aslemn - 2010-12-01
a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - Worthyness - 2010-12-01 or instead of HP washing, you could sacrifice some damage and put points into HP. There's a reason why we're allowed to put points into HP too. It's just maple is a damage whore fest so people don't generally add points into HP cause they will have "lol u has teh sucz demeg luOOOOlll nub" a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - Kire - 2010-12-01 CarrionCrow Wrote:7. You're right, I have no idea, my only char was a bishop, and those are easy to train and to keep alive... and that's the only class I know, so I don't know anything about how it "feels" to play other classes...I want a change, also, I enjoyed being ranged as a bishop, that's why it's tempting to go for a funslinger... also, I like the idea of doing a little bit more than just spaming the same skill in the same spot without evading or anything else (that's why I'm considering page and aran, page because of the cool charges and combat orders and aran because of the range and mobing skills)... My point is, a monster that can deal at least more than a half of my hp scares me... I don't like tha idea of drinking a pot after every hit, becuase if I don't, 2 hits and I'm dead... are low hp classes like that? can monsters kill you in 2 hits most of the time while trasining normally? a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - CarrionCrow - 2010-12-01 Kire Wrote:My point is, a monster that can deal at least more than a half of my hp scares me... I'm going to go ahead and say no, regular mobs will not kill you in 2 hits even as a low HP class, and if they do, that is easily remedied by some gear with high HP boosts, like Rex's earrings, Chaos boss equips or just plain old HP% from potential. Some bosses will most likely kill you in 2 hits though. But remeber this is because of the system where you will miss monsters above your level. You wont be going to bosses like HT before you at least match its level. a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - Kire - 2010-12-01 aslemn Wrote:]Actually... Get the idea that HP washing is required from your mind. Gunslingers have low HP, but that's paid by their high damage. All ranged classes work like that, and if you get used to playing them, you learn some strategies on not getting really high damaged by some bosses, instead of the default hold the attack key and use potions when damaged way of killing a boss. Got it, guess I'll give the slinger a chance, since it's not as hard as I tought to survive while training... but for now, the aran and the page are looking better... the page has a small plus: he can borrow nx from other chars (unlike the aran) and if my info is right, they also have a lot of hp... however, mobing with arans is so tempting since my only option (for now) is training by myself... you know, hit more mobs = more total damage dealt = more exp... as a random coment, I had a teacher who said "when it's hard to decide between to things, it means both are equally good. When in doubt, just toss a coin and stop wasting your time thinking"... Also , too
a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - Worthyness - 2010-12-01 Just to add in, the 2hko thing was only really limiting before potential equips came out. Right now, people can easily get to at least 3 hko. I have 5.1k HP at 140 because i poured a lot of points into HP before this massive % equips came in. Now that that has happened, if i could get the same % equips as everyone else could, I'd easily get to the 10K hp mark with hyper body. Picking a class shouldn't be about utility. It's a game for crying out loud. If a class looks fun, play it. If you don't like it after a while, stop playing and make another character. Or you could be like me and raise like 128371983 characters all at the same time and never really level too much, but at least you can say: oh i don't feel like playing this character today, how about this one? a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - Kire - 2010-12-01 Worthyness Wrote:Just to add in, the 2hko thing was only really limiting before potential equips came out. It used to be so hard to train when I joined maple (or at least, that's how I saw it since this is my first and only mmorpg) that I went for only one char... with all the changes in the exp curve, guess it's now posible for me to do that, however, I'll try to stick with one until I'm able to fund the rest of my chars... and since your idea is so good, guess I'm going to try for the gunslinger... it seems fun... lots of mobility, varied abilities, decent damage... As a side note, nexon gave me a free henesys vip face cupon, I have like 4.5k nx left... with some efort, maybe I'll be able to earn some more and buy a vip hair... that'll help a lot, I don't like looking so generic... how much is 1k nx nowadays? a lot of unasqued questions from a lurker that came out from the shadows - Liteness - 2010-12-01 arans are awesome f3, -20% dmg to all party members when maxed barrier |
