KoC blessing after big bang - RoxStarzzz - 2010-11-22

I apologize if this has already been addressed, but I have been unable to find it. I have heard rumors that its a good idea to lvl your KoC because they have a 24 bonus at lvl 120 after the big bang patch. Any truth to this rumor?

It's not with Big Bang. It happened in KMS like a patch or two after it. I think with Lion Heart Castle.

The 24watt boost (instead of 12watt) is only for Ultimate Adventurers, which you have to make with your cygnus character.

All other chars on the same account, only get the normal 12watt blessing.

What, since when? Everything I have read says the 24atk from a lv 120 KoC applies to every character on your account.

Ultimate Adventurers don't get anything but the Cygnus skill, some equips, a medal, and a free start at level 50. The 10% exp boost is for Cygnus only and UAs don't get it, in case there was a misconception about that as well.

Every character has an Empress's Blessing and Sprite's Blessing skill. Your level of Empress's Blessing is determined by the highest level Cygnus on your account, not counting the character that receives the blessing. Your level of Sprite's Blessing is determined by the highest level character on your account period, not counting the character that receives the blessing. The higher levelled skill always takes precedence.

Example: you have the following characters
Lv. 120 Striker
Lv. 56 Wind Archer
Lv. 180 Bishop
Lv. 50 Dual Blade

Striker receives 11 Empress and 18 Sprite and gets +18 attack.
Wind Archer receives 24 Empress and 18 Sprite and gets +24 attack.
Bishop receives 24 Empress and 12 Sprite and gets +24 attack.
Dual Blade receives 24 Empress and 18 Sprite and gets +24 attack.

To further clarify: Not even the skills are exclusive, normal classes can get them by doing quests (appearantly tedious ones, but hey, I have yet to fail doing every quest possible). So what do you get as an ultimate adventurer that you cannot get on another class? A medal and equpis that aint all that. Why would you want an ultimate adventurer? Because you have a lvl 120 cygnus and feel that your next adventurer class might as well start at lvl 50 to save you some minor work. Simple.

So the max amount of attack you can get boosted by is 24? So with a level 200 character and 120 cygnus, you still only get +24 passive attack instead of 44? Just wanna make sure so I don't waste my time making a cygnus.

Yes, Having a lvl 120 Cygnus gives the biggest boost. Keep in mind though, that this is not set in stone. I remember when Cygnus came and making one was the only way to get a boost. Then they ruined it by making the blessing untied to Cygnus. Now they repair their misstake, but who knows when they will ruin it again?

Without them stacking, it just seems like an annoyance to replace existing characters though, since the Cygnus is still pointless in the end-game. The only reason I'd be training it is to get that +atk boost, and it'd need to get to level 65 before it'll even add more attack than my DrK. I skipped making a Cygnus in the first place cause my DK was a much higher level, now it's the same issue... leveling up the DrK provides more direct benefits (in giving me an actual playable second character).
