Bullying Survey. - Yabloki - 2010-11-19 So I'm conducting a small research study on bullying for one of my psychology courses. Kind of similar to the abortion survey that's already on the forum, except there's no age limit. No limits of any kind. If you're physically capable of taking the survey, congratulations, you qualify! It's super simple, not even 2 minutes long, and I do expect to be posting results here once I conclude my study and start analyzing the results (in like 1-2 weeks).http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/B6VMLZY I would super appreciate anyone who can take the time out of their day to fill this out. Bullying Survey. - FanaticRat - 2010-11-19 Man this brings up some bad memories. Well good luck on your survey, although I must ask; are you asking only about currently or over one's whole life? Because things have changed over time with me, with my school years prior to college being far worse than at college and whatnot. I might just not attend because of this topic >.> Bullying Survey. - Rob - 2010-11-19 Done. Bullying Survey. - MasPan - 2010-11-19 An important side note for #3 - being a joke target isn't necessarily an indicator of bullying - for example, I'm in the military. Insult wars/joke wars go back and forth all the time. It's a stress reliever and if done in a lighthearted manner can be bonding. Be careful about what conclusions you draw from your answers given that your questions are incredibly vague and the survey is anything but comprehensive. Bullying Survey. - Fiel - 2010-11-19 I am a man... and a woman, and don't let any republican tell you otherwise. Bullying Survey. - MasPan - 2010-11-19 Fiel Wrote:I am a man... and a woman, and don't let any republican tell you otherwise. Implying there are only 2 genders (the survey, not you)...sexist! Bullying Survey. - DeanNim - 2010-11-19 I did the survey already. But if it helps here are my experiences in high school. Im a happy person, all the time, most of the time, unless im sleepy.. you do not want to pineapple with me when im sleepy. anyway, OT, before i go to the bullying part, im a friendly person in school, even though i dont make friends easily, im sort of popular with people due to my brother but i know most people and have no enemies in school except one. Theres this kid, he's been the joke of MY class since secondary one(13 yrs of age). I had the same class in sec1 & 2 and we hated him, he is irritating annoying, smelly and fat. I dont like him because of the 2nd and 3rd reason. The irony here is, my best friend in primary school is fat and sort of smelly. The jokes went from our own class to the entire cohort, me and my friends have been caught several times for verbal bullying him. Thing is, it went on until now... even on facebook, when we changed class in sec 3, my sec 3 class also did not like him. yeah i know im bad, but ill be when i need to be or when i want to be. The thing about him is, he likes to sabotage our sneaky/mischievous plans, and his disgusting habits just make us push him away. And the fact that he does not get that I, i repeat I, myself do not like him(its obvious with the verbal bullying and insulting), yet, he still purposely makes me angry, i really mean purposely, deliberately makes me angry. I mean dude, pineapple you, i dont want no fat-ass peach in my study group yo, gtfo. Yeah thats just me, when i hate you, what ever pineapple you do annoy me, but when i like you/youre my friend, even if we're not the closest, ill stick by you to the end. Go ahead and call this bullying , thats life.. i have haters, i know i have even though they dont show it in my face but who gives a damn. I mean, ive always been joked about ALL the damned time about being so feminine(im abit sensitive about it) but i dont care, because they're my friends. We joke without butthurting each other. thats how we are, and i dont consider that bullying. yeah sorry about the english but whatever, there you go.. Bullying Survey. - Yabloki - 2010-11-19 First of all, thanks for all the feedback. I've gotten 61 hits so far in under 24 hours since I started sending this link around. I'm actually probably going to end up having the results sooner than I initially projected.@ FanaticRat, I agree that people are going to have all sorts of extenuating circumstances, probably for even just all of this. It's only 10 questions, never more than 7 responses. Unfortunately, I'm somewhat limited by my Professor as to the approach I can take in this study. So stuff will probably fall through the cracks.@ MasPan, I completely agree too. It's actually probably not right that I say, "I'm" conducting this study though, because it's actually myself and a group member from class. Which, I couldn't convince my partner otherwise that that wasn't a straightforward question, hence why it's hear. I'm going to try to ignore the question in our analysis though, or perhaps only include it in a bivariate linear regression with the other indicator. @ Fiel/MasPan, more power to you. :3 While I'm pretty sure you're joking, I'll say this: I'm actually gay and could not have more sympathy for the "T" in LGBT, and just all the different genders of the world, for the sake of running a data analysis that makes any sense, it is necessary I restrict myself to just one out of the two most commonly accepted genders. @ DeanNim, thank you for all the useful anecdotal information. Stories of school bullying isn't quite my focus, but I'll look for a way to conclude this in my report if I can. So again, thanks everyone for contributing! And if you're reading this and haven't taken the 2 minutes out of your day necessary to complete this, please do! I'd be very grateful, and I can also answer questions to anyone who has them. I'm a third year Psychology major at CSUF, angling to apply to a PhD program once I graduate so I feel like I can probably cover anything anyone wants to know.

Right. Because we all know that the surest indicator of statistical accuracy is ignoring identifiers of an impacted subset of the population. Let's omit race too because that clearly can't have any statistical significance being a degree of variation that makes it harder. Worst topical survey I've seen. Those questions are completely leading, indicative of nothing because they have no context and are really going to be impossible to draw any meaningful conclusions from. Bullying Survey. - Sarah - 2010-11-19 Eosian Wrote:"More of a man than you'll ever be, more of a woman than you'll ever get." Bully. I did take it but pulled out at the last minute because, as Eos said, it wasn't a very good survey. I couldn't express that properly but now that is has been, I hope you'll regroup and try again. I was / am a bully and even with the best possible answers it felt like it was trying to tell me I am being bullied so... Bullying Survey. - Spaz - 2010-11-19 Survey is broken.
