Loopback Adapter - Gregory - 2010-11-15

I've played v88 private servers with the loopback adapter feature and when i go to disable it on my computer it freezes up. theres about 20 copies of the loopback adapter and when i rightclick and disable it doesnt work. I've tried countless methods to try to turn it off but it wont work. I have no access to GMS or even any other private servers since when i run them it automatically not responds. I don't want to miss out on the big bang/ or thanksgiving events. Can someone help? Also I think a virus i recentley had on my computer would be part of it. I tired malware bytes and it said it couldn't remove most of it. I sometimes get redirections and some days i don't. whenever i unplug my lan cable i get a blue screen. Any help with the loopback adapter would be greatly appreciated Biggrin

Backing up and reformatting would take a lot less time than to wade through that muck.

I understand.

My isp called and disconnected our internet because my computer was sending out spam. We've ran 2 malware bytes scans and removed everything it seems fine now.

The loopback should only point to 127.0.0.1 and 255.0.0.0 for it's IP and Subnet mask addresses. The others were probably false addressed used by a malware to send spam from your terminal.

At this point I recommend updating your anti-virus and possibly installing an anti-malware program as well.

You may remove those unnecessary drivers via Control panel > Drivers.

Another convenient way of doing it is to run a clean v.90 and above GlobalMS client as they have loopback checks, MapleStory will get the drivers automatically deleted
