How do you scroll a 1h sword? - Pow - 2010-11-12
Scrolling a 1h sword to perfection is a hard process, unlike any 2h weapon, 1h swords don't have a generalized all-1h-weapons 50% scroll, which makes things so much harder.
Now when 1h sword 50% scrolls are nearly extinct and NONE exist at the markets, how do you scroll a 1h Sword?
This question can be answered easily with "WS+10%" although that method is VERY expensive and VERY long to do.
You will need statistically 90 White scrolls and 90 10% Weapon att scrolls, which means roughly over 36b.
Ofc you may get luckied and do that by 9 WS and 10% W.att but it's not even worth testing (kinda like winning a lottery).
When talking about scrolling VIP 1h swords, 30% aren't really an option as it has a high chance of blowing up, ofc it may not be as expensive as first method but it still may be a long process of trying and failure resulting in a big loss of mesos.
A good idea was probably Vega scrolling with w.att 10% scroll becoming 30%, Unfortunately afaik, White Scrolls, nor Pam's Songs would've worked along with it making it a bit less achievement than the 10% scrolling but still not a guaranteed way of scrolling a weapon to perfection.
Pam's Song alone was an option too, used with 10% w.att, but total price was just a bit less than the option of WS+10%.
So how would you suggest me to scroll my 1h VIP sword? 60% scrolls? combination of several kinds of scrolls? scroll a different 1h sword maybe?
Take in consideration that my budget is UP TO 5b.

Ask yourself if there never had been Scroll for 2handed Weapon for ATT 50%, how would anyone scroll their weapons.

He's saying back in the old days if you wanted a perfect weapon you went the ws and 10% route. That's just the way it is. If you don't access to a 50% scroll that's really your only option.
Of course there were white scroll dupers back then so it made it a less daunting task for those with that sort of connection but that's the way the game has always been.
For a while the gm 10% scrolls were obtainable for 1h swords. That's how the vast majority of perfect lbs you see running around were made because they both came out at about the same time. Just like the 50s for 1h sword though I think there supplies are very low, mostly held by those who have 7/9 and are waiting for the next great sword to come along.
Dagger users are in your same boat, probably a little worse off actually as that last set of scrolls was never available to them.

This is what you should have asked from the beginning.
Post your total equip stats/various facts so that we can consider:
- Your total %stat bonuses
- Your total WATK
- What you can afford
so as to make appropriate comparisons.
The addition of a shield adds 20atk for funded players. That, alone, makes up for the lack of SEVEN pink scrolls (in terms of WATK, I'm not counting damage multiplier). Kick in potentials from the shield and you have a fair chance to beat the 50%'d two hand sword with a 60%'d one hand plus a

Already stated how much I can afford and total w.att has no influence on deciding wether a 2h is better than a 1h+shield.
I was wondering if a 14x Att NRW (fast 2h sword) can outdmg a 13x Att VIP 1h sword and a VIP shield say 12% str, ~10att, 17str
And also if a 16x Att (Normal speed) VIP 2h sword could outmdg the previously mentioned sword+shield.

Make 3-5 reverse executioners (150-175m per) with stimulators (only bothter with 112 att+). Scroll till 2/3 30%s land (Dark Scrolls, Vega ideally) Then finish with vega 60%s.
Or do the same with 3 VIP 1h handed with 2 lines (350-400 each at 118 att, less in crowded servers) Do the same as above except only try to land 1 30%.
From there wait till u can find 3 Advanced Equip enhances and throw them on there.

Wasn't there some kinda probability calculator for this made by someone? It'd include stuff like average price of the scrolled item, cost of scrolls, type of scrolls etc. Anyone remember that?
