I smell a Paladin bandwagon. - Link - 2010-11-10 Seriously, this class is over powered. @_@ At level 122, unfunded, I do ~47k (maybe even more) damage with Charge Blow (including critical damage) and ~27k x3 or maybe more with Blast. My range is 3167 ~ 4524 Equips : +2 STR Level 35 Pepe helmet +2/2/2/2 Mushroom Kingdom medal +420 Accuracy Ludibrium Cape +1 Attack Mushroom Kingdom Glove +4% STR earrings +10 DEX, All Stats +1% Bath Towel +2 STR, +2% STR, +4 DEX Level 70 Shield +4 STR, ignore 15% of the target's weapon/magic defense Red Snowshoes +1 STR, +104 Weapon Attack (1 60%, 6 100% scrolls), +6% total damage, ignore 15% of the target's weapon/magic defense Level 90 One-handed Blunt Weapon Obviously, this is no where near what is possible with decent funding, but man... This is definitely going to start a bandwagon. Not only that, but Paladins have insane defense... >_> This is the ultimate tank (though, that means absolutely NOTHING in MapleStory) and damage-dealing class. With high HP, super high defense, high damage, and very useful and most likely wanted party skills and skills that would be extremely effective on bosses, this class is over powered as hell. I smell a Paladin bandwagon. - Mute - 2010-11-10 ![]() people still have to struggle through page-hood and WK-hood. sure after BB they get combat orders which makes them appealing to parties, but that's a minor thing. and this is, i swear, the 4th time i've heard of a "pally bandwagon;" if it were to happen it would have happened before. Paladin is so easy to level up and is ridiculous. I smell a Paladin bandwagon. - Stereo - 2010-11-10 So is every class... A same level same gear Dark Knight would be able to hit 75k sacrifice crits, using lv.1 Dark Force. A funded one (eg. mine) will do over 120k crits. If you're comparing Paladins to pre-BB classes, stop. Every class got a massive damage buff. Paladin is so easy to level up and is ridiculous. thing is, page's still carry that "lolpage useless" stigma about them. even after BB, pre-BB prejudiced opinions will still stand for most. I smell a Paladin bandwagon. - Link - 2010-11-10 Stereo Wrote:So is every class... Well, actually no, I'm not. I'm comparing it to classes I've played in KMST/KMS post-Big Bang. This character is by far the most powerful of the group. Also, my main reason that they're going to be bandwagon and that they're over powered is their survivability. I'm not sure how things are in later levels, but Paladins have ridiculous survivability after Big Bang, which means a lot. Especially at higher level bosses that deal high damage. I smell a Paladin bandwagon. - AceWiz - 2010-11-10 no one really gives 2 shi ts for survivability, it's all about damage. why do you think people make NLs? i'm pretty sure no matter what, people would choose to make a hero/drK over a pally also, why are you comparing level 1(3) skills? I smell a Paladin bandwagon. - Death - 2010-11-10 I didnt know paladins turned out to be so good... But i made a WK a week ago (Was lv 86 now back to 78 lame rollback =_=) Because i like classes nobody else makes. I had several people asking what a freaking White Knight was and if i was hacking because im freezing monsters o_O Its so weird... but yea i love my WK so far but its pretty hard to train if you ask me. >_< I smell a Paladin bandwagon. - Link - 2010-11-10 AceWiz Wrote:no one really gives 2 shi ts for survivability, it's all about damage. Then those people aren't playing the game properly. Damage doesn't mean anything, really. True strength comes from overall ability, not just damage. True strength comes from overall ability, not just damage. Agreed. i wish more people would think this way. Im making a paladin purely because i love Blunt weapons. they have good damage overall. They seem to have huge stamina after big bang (another extra) get a really good party buff. And because paladins itself are unique if you ask me. I'm not making one purely for damage because thats just dmg whoring if you ask me. Sadly... there is only 0,0004% of all the players left that play for fun and uniqueness. But that doesn't mean they're playing the game right by going purely after damage. Isn't that kind of killing the point of Maple? "Let's make only the highest DPS class in the game so we see high numbers, but end up getting killed every other hit so let's dump 130418374028437108237 dollars from our mother's credit card into Nexon's pocket so we can have a 5% higher chance of surviving!" I smell a Paladin bandwagon. - Stereo - 2010-11-10 Survivability pre-BB is about avoid + range. Overall my NL is weaker than my Paladin - but the NL costs less to boss on. It's nice having lots of HP but you can avoid taking damage in the first place if you don't have to stand on the boss. I've killed Bigfoot on both NL and Paladin - the Paladin did it much faster, but also was guzzling pots. (used about 100 Power Elixirs, even with Threaten+PG). NL can't take a hit, didn't take a hit, used about 8 MP pots. I don't understand the NL bandwagon either... I don't like my NL and I haven't trained it much since 2008. Maybe BB will change that though. I smell a Paladin bandwagon. - Link - 2010-11-10 Well... I'm not quite sure what direction I wanted this thread to go, but this certainly wasn't it. Well, it should've been expected when you made the claim "i smell a(n) [x-class] bandwagon," as thats highly opinionated, which in turn leads to others to provide their opinions, and reactions to others opinions, etc etc and so forth. it isn't too bad a thread, honestly.
