I used those two examples because I don't watch TV. I don't watch TV and still know 2 shows that are strange, I'm sure there are others out there that America produces. Even if they're not mainstream enough for TV.
But I'm sure there are other shows that try to mimic Family Guy based on its success.

What? You think Japan's the only country with weird sh`it? Oh please. Apparently, you're not aware of our own culture's media. Ever seen SAW? It's not scary as it is just disgusting. American-Horror = blood. Japanese-Horror = demons, spirits, and what-not. There's a huge difference in how culture can impact practically everything, so I don't see why you would claim that Japan = weird. To your eyes, it's weird. But to a Japanese person's eye, I'm sure they think you're pretty weird too.
I once drank Vodka with snake-bile in it. It's pretty much a delicacy in Vietnam, but I did it anyways. I didn't think it's weird. Sh`it, I eat pig intestines all the time, etc etc etc. List goes on.
