Equips post BB. - Adramelech - 2010-10-12 So now that matk works like watk I was looking at H-S.net and noticed that a few mage shoes have MATK making dark neli shoes the best mage shoes post bb if chaos scrolled also flamekeepers are gonna be better then timeless/reverse gloves because they're 8 freakin matk clean. basicly.... just noticed this and thought I'd mention it O_O. seams abit broken to be honest that we'd be able to easily make a really high matk shoe and glove and that the matk on puacs is higher then the watk on pacs, also earing int gives matk O_o. anyone know if that changes post BB? if these things stay the same then I suggest people start hoarding puacs , earing int 60% and cordons. Equips post BB. - McAwesomesauce - 2010-10-13 It's not like Mages and weapon based classes use the same damage formula; that's painfully stupid. 1 M.Atk to amage means less to them than 1 W.Atk to say, a Thief since wands and staves naturally have higher M. Atk, so the ratio changes to compensate. Equips post BB. - Scaeva - 2010-10-13 I noticed this too. I also found out that you can get 5 M.Att earrings for very little money: Just get Silver/Amethyst earrings from Henesys, go to the Kerning Swamp scroll merchant and buy 5 Earring INT(not sure) 100%s. It's really great if you don't have something better to use. I'm not sure if it's going to make any difference, but it's still nice. Equips post BB. - Kabanaw - 2010-10-13 That would be true, if it weren't for one thing: potential. The highest level mage shoes with MA clean are lapiz sandalls, which are level 70. While you could possibly get a good amount of MA on those shoes, you could get 9% more int on a lvl 80 shoe or higher. Same thing for the cordon. You can even scroll gloves for more MA, and 9% int>8 MA. Equips post BB. - CarrionCrow - 2010-10-13 Kabanaw Wrote:That would be true, if it weren't for one thing: potential. My calculations tell me that a good rule of thumb for Post BB damage is: It takes a little more than +4 of your primary stat to increase your damage the same as +1 Weapon/Magic Attack. For a mage, it takes about 21 Int to equal the damage increase of 5 MA. Equips post BB. - Locked - 2010-10-13 Thorr Wrote:Absolutely untrue. The thread title clearly states "Post BB". Equips post BB. - Chameleonic - 2010-10-13 After BB Mages damage formula is ... 1.00*(4 * INT + LUK) * (Magic Attack / 100) Its the same as all other formulas. Anyway, the only reason for 1 MA <1 WA post BB is because an average warrior can get about, what, 150 WA, a sin can get about 100, and a mage can get about 250 MA. Before my 18% int and 3% luk are applied, I have 955 int and 135 luk with MW20, and 257 Magic Attack with Spell Mastery, Magic Mastery, and Meditation. ratio = (int + (luk/4)) / MA = 3.84. Must've done the math wrong earlier. I have pretty low magic attack, though, since I don't have my EStaff 6 yet, my gloves aren't scrolled and my earrings are unfinished. Well funded mages should be able to get way over 300 MA. Equips post BB. - Stereo - 2010-10-13 Kabanaw Wrote:Well, I have been shown who is the boss. I'd guess average is a little higher than that on warrior/sin, anyway. (current stats for me: 204 paladin, 145 NL, 163 DrK - all using 12 atk pots) My DrK and NL have unpotentialed weapons though, I'd expect a decent (can afford >5 cubes) weapon would be +15-20 onto those two. Mages are probably 20-30% higher in MA than other chars in PA though. Equips post BB. - 66alex66 - 2010-10-14 The damage multiplier for mages is 1 thus a crapton of matk doesn't give as much as the same amount of watk for a sin which have 1.75 damage multiplier for claws. Equips post BB. - Atruya - 2010-10-22 You could chaos scroll thé most EPIC equip in the game, the White Guiltian.
