Earthquake in Bay Area - Russt - 2008-09-07 I don't even remember what I was doing at that time. A 1.0 earthquake is unnoticeable. Increasing an unnoticeable earthquake's Richter by 0.01 doesn't make it noticeable. Therefore, adding 700 times, an 8.0 earthquake is unnoticeable.
