It was kind of questionable, since the guy working behind the gyakuten games preety muhc decided to end the series there and continue ghost detective.
There is also a rumor based on twitter that Level 5 is working in an Ace attorney game.

zomg zomg yes they're actually making a sequel to this game? I loved the first one. It was actually one of those games that I'd put time aside each day just to get through some of it. lol@shelly de killer. I really wish they made an Apollo Justice sequel though.

This. I allways thought that Apollo Justice simply left out a lot of holes, maybe it was intended so that the player could imagine what happened next, but they simply screamed sequel with the ending.
But AAI seems to fillsome loopholes in the series continuity and actually conect to AJ, I guess we just ahve to wait and see.
