Detroit's own political issues - Katie - 2008-09-04

[COLOR="Navy"]Mayor Kilpatrick was pleaded guilty and resigns today. It's quite a shame because we all thought he was going to do something great for our city and really change it around and he did at first. Then it all went down hill and it was scandal after scandal. I live in Metro Detroit but the things he votes on affects us all in the metro area. I'm just glad that he finally admitted to what he did and now the city can try to move forward and get a "fresher" start. There is so much more to his scandal's than what that article talks about. Hopefully, the new mayor appointed can change Detroit's image.

About pineappleing time. I still don't see why he didn't resign months ago, but I'll withhold comment about his guilty plea on the grounds that I barely know what happened.

He was forced to resign because of his plea deal. And don't worry everyone thinks the same way you do. They said this morning during the coverage that his approval rating is 20%. I don't even see how he got that much. But whatever I guess. But I agree with you, he should of done it months ago and scandals ago.
