Magicians After Big Bang - Rexbolt - 2010-09-24 Okay, so I understand that after Big Bang, one of the major changes to mages is that MATT works like ATT, so higher-level staves and such are more useful (and potential.) Is it thus recommended to go as low base luck as possible all the way, or perhaps go luckless up until a certain point (maybe 120, since you get access to stuff like HTP at that point) and then convert to as low base luck as possible, for someone who doesn't have much funding? I thought the latter option might be better because apparently other classes also go statless until they convert to low-stat at latter levels. Or is my thinking flawed? Thank you! Bishops-> Lukless until the lvl 64 maple staff, low-luk after (unless you have a lvl 127 VIP staff/wand). Mages-> Lukless until lvl 163, then elemental staff 5-8 (or lukless until 103, then staff 1-4, then "back to lukless" at 130 and back to low-luk at 163) Magicians After Big Bang - Kabanaw - 2010-09-25 End game, a lvl 163 staff is the best for AMs/Evans/Battlemages, Reverse weapons for bishops. Use however much luk it takes to wear lvl 70+ armor for potential even before 163. You'd be wasting loads of points in luck that would be gained later with the HTP. Magicians After Big Bang - Kaasoljoyyx - 2010-09-26 You basically work like all the non-mage classes. Keep your luk as low as possible and raise it with gear. The best thing to do is get 23 base luk and enough luk to wear gear. Scroll things for luk to keep your base int as high as possible. Use M. Att over int when possible (PuaC vs 71+ cape), etc... Magicians After Big Bang - Dusk - 2010-09-26 Shidoshi Wrote:It's not worth it getting the luk to wear level 71+ armor before level 120. You'd be wasting loads of points in luck that would be gained later with the HTP. You don't need an HTP to equip level 71+ armor. I was using the 78 overall with 40 base luk before I got my CHTP. And that's fine, because I'll probably have to raise my luk to 60 to equip the 163 staff. 6-9% int is enough to make up for any lost int from adding luk as early as level 100. And since mages only need about their level in luk to equip their items, going lukless as a mage is roughly as helpful as going strless on an archer. Which is to say, not very. |
