B&W Gameplay - Loose - 2010-09-18

For those of you already playing the game, what are your thoughts on it? How far are you? What Pokemon do you have so far?

I'm playing the White version and so far, it's very entertaining (even though I don't understand Japanese). Though my game is a bit slow, I'm really liking everything, the music, the Pokemon, the new battle animations, everything has been sweet! They story is probably good too. Something that really astonished me was the 2 vs 2 wild encounters, that's really interesting.

I have yet to do a 3 on 3 battle, I'm in the big ass city (which is incredible!) with that Oddish/onion Pokemon, Pignite 2.0, that Poison/Bug and Broccoli Monkey. I'm searching for that Plank wielding Fighter, I'm battled a few, but does anyone know where you encounter a wild one?

I made it to the third gym battle, and he keeps kicking my ass. So I'm in the forest before Hiun City, grinding (or something). I've been catching one of every Pokemon I see (for the hell of it). I'm using Smugtard (Smugleaf's evo), Zebrachu, Pidgeything, Water monkey, Puppy 2.0, and that rock thing. Really enjoying the game so far. Smile

If you use DeSmuMe you can fix the lag: set frameskip to 4 (Config -> Frameskip) and disable Advanced Bus-Level timing (Config -> Emulation settings). The game runs incredibly smooth this way.

Headed for Route 4, and looking for a Moguryuu. Also hoping Dageki isn't a version exclusive. Loving every single bit so far, although I wish I could just run it on my DS (of course, DSTT has to be the only card it doesn't work with).

Just kidding. But anyways, how is the difficulty level in this game? I heard it's a bit harder because the EXP system was changed so it's harder to grind.
