Fighter or DK? - GMSInfighter - 2008-09-02
Hey I'm in a pickle on what warrior to choose/continue.
I have a level 46 Axe Fighter right now, and I love playing Fighters. Then again Speaman have always been fun to me.
So should I start a new Spearman or continue my axe fighter.
The axe fighter has perfect stats with 45 base dex.

In the very long run its really up to what class u like for 4th job. Im not going to say o Hero's are better, or Drk are better.
But heres the deal
DrK are needed at HT runs for HB
Heroes aren't really needed there at all.. But they do some pretty decent mob damage at HT
DrK have a higher average hit then Heroes and can 1 hit skeles before them.
But this is the really long run.
If your looking for a character to play to hold you off for some time until pirates, stick with the axe fighter, they train a bit faster than spearmen.

If I wanted to get to 3rd job faster and have fun in 3rd job.
Pretty much what class is fun for 3rd job.
4th job as well, I just want to have fun with this :3

If you want fun in 3rd job, you might want to go with a dk. Although I haven't played a dk before, I know that until you get your combo max/level 21 and start adding a decent amount into coma, playing a crusader is no different than the fighter you just played for the last 40 levels. If you are willing to wait 15~20 more levels, crusaders become a lot more fun with maxed combo and high level finishers.

Polearm as a matter of fact. Got crap items for him so I think Ima work more on his equips then create him :3

I don't think it's a good idea to go pure polearm. Going hybrid DK might be a better choice, but pure polearm really is one of the weakest 4th job.
Think mages are bad at single target damage? Not as bad as pure polearm.

Basically getting polearm booster, polearm mastery, spear booster, and spear mastery instead of final attack. Without maxing the two boosters but maxing the two masterys.

You need to split your booster/final attack points between them.

Bosses are fun. Heros are somewhat wanted in bosses, but axe heros? I don't know. Personally, I'd go with the funner one since that's what this game's about.

A Hero told me sword is better than axe because Brandish is a slash/stab 2 hitter animation and the axe loses 40% power on stab. At least that's what he told me. As for DK, it's godly in 3rd job but not so good in 4th; then again, you'll be a Priest/Bishop's best friend, and highly wanted in bosses because there aren't a lot of DKs around nowadays.
