How would something in the South Pole move all the way to the North Pole just because Earth's magnetism flipped poles? Unless penguins are magnets, in which case they'd simply flip upside-down.

Magnetic "north" and "north" is not the same. North and south is defined by the axis on which the planet rotates and not on its magnetic field. If magnetic north was what we base our directions on, our maps would be slightly slanted. The South Pole will remain the South Pole unless a meteor hits us and tilts Earth.
