Not what I meant.

I meant she could have lived a long life as an elf, and maybe she was directly involved by losing family in the war with the Black mage so she became traumatized and became obsessed with trying to be safe. She always says "We lack man power, maybe we should get people from other places *bla bla bla*"

People could just live a long time in the Maple world, unless they're killed. After all Dances with Balrogs, Gendal and Athena were all around when Victoria was founded, which was close to 100 years ago.
