Haven't seen a thread for this kind of issue, so I'm just making one.
First off, remove all the crap on your new computer:
http://www.pcdecrapifier.com/
Then, install your most needed programs:
http://ninite.com/
It's amazingly simple these days!

WOW, Ive never heard of pcdecrapifier before. This looks interesting, ill take a look into it. (I am the "Tech Guy" for my dorm, i fix windows based computers.... fk macs)
For an alternative cleaning solution (For minor things) use ccleaner

Edit: Oh i see, pcdecrapifier just removes the filler software that comes with your computer. I will suggest the use of this to my students.
