I mean, seriously?

It made sense in the first game because *HOLY pomegranate HERE COMES A MASSIVE SPOILER FOR PROFFESOR LAYTON AND THE CURIOUS VILLAGE!!*

PD:Not to mention that since the PL games allways have a "logical" explanation for everything I wonder how the Unwound future will end.

Yeah, those endings really bothered me quite a bit. The whole game was making sense of things, and using logic, yet the endings defied that.

The way I read it, the whole town was long since abandoned, therefore yeah, everyone in town as well was an illusion. Still doesn't explain how everyone had the same hallucinations.
